Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 4: As many as 1,369 people have been arrested so far in connection with the Thursday's dawn-to-dusk hartal related violent incidents in Kerala.
About 717 people were taken into preventive custody and the police registered 801 cases in hartal related violent incidents so far, sources said here.
As clashes between CPI(M) and BJP workers continue in many districts, police plans to take more people into preventive custody.
Meanwhile, State DGP Loknath Behra sought a detailed report from all the District Police Superintendents regarding crimes that took place in their areas.
The DGP also expressed his displeasure over the failure of the police in providing protection to shops which sought security to open during the hartal day.
