Kasaragod, Aug 26: The police have registered cases against 16 students of two institutions here on charges of ragging.
The police registered cases against 12 students of Iqbal Higher Secondary School for allegedly harassing junior students by forcing them to shell out money and later tortured them for failing to oblige, the police said.
Similar cases were registered against four wards of Sree Nityananda Engineering College here.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incidents.
