19-year-old Nischal becomes youngest Chartered Accountant in India

Hyderabad, Jul 24: 19-year-old? Nischal Narayanam has become the youngest person in India to clear the Chartered Accountancy exam, The Hindu reports. The Common Proficiency Test is considered one of the toughest exams in the country.

Despite clearing the exam, Narayanam cannot enrol in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India this year as they don't allow members below the age of 21 years.

Padmavathy, his mother first saw his talent with numbers when Narayanam was nine years old. “He was passionate about numbers and I was amazed at his skills” she told media persons.

To hone his skills, Padmavathy sought out mentors from around the world. "He has mentors from across the world and is trained in methodologies of several countries in Mathematics and Memory,” she told the newspaper.  She herself has a Ph.D in Sanskrit from Osmania University.

Narayanam is also the youngest graduate in Osmania University, from where he received his B. Com and M.Com degrees.

He has to credit other titles as well including the youngest 'Double Guinness World Record holder' in the category of memory and the youngest World Memory Champion. He is recognised by the National Geographic Channel one of the '7 brilliant brains of the world'. 

If that's not enough, he has been invited as a special invitee and speaker at the Global Conference in Shanghai by Deloitte International, the audit firm where he did his articleship for CA.

Shivamogga, Feb 24: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday said that he has been invited at the banquet hosted for US President Donald Trump at Rashtrapathi Bhavan on Tuesday, but, he is yet to decide on his presence.

“I have been invited, but I have various engagements and work, let’s see. I have not yet decided on what to do. It is true that I got the invitation,” he told reporters here.

"President of a powerful and rich country like United States of America visiting India is not a normal thing. He (Trump) has said that he personally shares good relationship with Prime Minister Modi and has confidence in him…let’s wait and see", Mr Yediyurappa said in reply to a question.

Udupi, Aug 1: A girl child died five persons suffered injuries in a car accident today on National Highway-66 near Ambalpady in Udupi.

According to sources, two couples and children were travelling in the car from Mangaluru to Shikaripura when the tragedy took place. 

The speeding car rammed into the road divider and flipped over after the driver lost control over it near Ambalpady. 

Among the injured, the condition of a woman is said to be critical. She has been admitted to KMC Hospital in Manipal. The other passengers escaped with minor injuries.

A case has been registered at Udupi town traffic police station and investigations are on. More details are awaited.

Bengaluru, Apr 10: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, expressing his concern over the plight of stray animals struggling during lockdown, called upon people to feed the animals near their houses and provide them drinking water.

In a tweet he said "Due to scorching heat and Lockdown, cats, dogs and birds are suffering without water and food. In cities this situation much serious. So I appeal to people that people should see that dogs and birds their get food and water.

Please be kind and take some time off to feed stray animals and birds around your homes. Try providing them with water and leftovers so they're not parched and left hungry. Stray animals depend on wastes and leftovers from hotels and restaurants and have been hit by the Lockdown to check the spread of Corona virus.
