2 days after returning from Dubai on vacation, Udupi youth killed in accident

Udupi, Aug 3: A young Indian expatriate worker, who had come home just couple of days ago on a month-long vacation, lost his life in a road mishap at Ganapanakatte near Moodubelle in Udupi district.

The victim has been identified as Johnson D'Souza (28), son of Jerald and Margaret from Moodubelle. He was working in Dubai and visited his hometown on July 31.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening when Johnson was riding his motorbike towards Moodubelle town from his house. A speeding tipper lorry coming from the opposition direction rapped into the two-wheeler.

Though a critically injured Johnson was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Manipal, he breathed his last in the night.

He is survived by parents, a brother and three sisters. Jurisdictional Shirva police have registered a case and investigations are on.

My heartfelt condolences for the family, indeed it is a very sad news unfortunately life and death is not in our hand. At least he was safe in Gulf Country, people should think about the safety of our stupid and uncultured India before commenting about other countries.

Mysuru, Feb 1: The local police have arrested a man stabbed his irresponsible wife after she apparently hurt him with her naughty TikTok videos in Periyapatna of Mysuru district.

According to police, Srinivas stabbed his wife Savitha for TikTok videos where the latter featured with a different man.

The couple was not in good terms and was staying separately since few years. Savitha was residing in Mysuru and she used to send TikTok videos posing with another man to Srinivas.

The couple had two children, who reside with Srinivas, who was upset with the videos and invited Savitha to the birthday party of one of their children at Periyapatna.

He attacked her with a knife soon after she reached the function venue, Police said.

Bengaluru, Mar 27: A software engineer has been arrested for giving a "call" to the people to sneeze in the open and spread coronavirus, police said on Friday.
The person identified as Mujeeb Mohammad had made this call in a Facebook post.
"Let's join hands, go out and sneeze with open mouth in public. Spread the virus," he wrote.

"The person who put this post saying people should go out and sneeze and spread the virus has been detained. His name is Mujeeb. He works in a software company," Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Infosys tweeted: "We are deeply concerned with an inappropriate post being attributed to an Infosys employee. We strongly reaffirm our commitment to responsible social-sharing.

The company also said, "Our preliminary enquiry, and discussions with our employees suggest that this could be a case of a mistaken identity."
"However, given the seriousness with which we take such matters, we are investigating this further and will also assist with any independent investigation. The company would take appropriate action based on its investigation," it added

Mangaluru, Jun 29: An elderly woman who was tested positive for coronavirus, breathed her last at the designated covid hospital in the city today.

The deceased was a 60-year-old resident of Ullal.

According to sources, the woman, was getting treated for ailments related to liver and heart.
