20th Gulf Incon Metabo floodlit cricket from June 25

Doha: Gulf Incon will be sponsoring for the 20th successive year the 20th Gulf Incon Metabo Floodlit Cricket tournament 2014.

At the sponsorship signing ceremony Adnan Mannai, Managing Director of Gulf Incon Metabo said he has been highly impressed with the functioning of the Qatar Veterans’ Cricket League.

The tournament commences will commence on Friday, June 27, 2014 with 2 matches of 12 overs duration played every night. The Finals are scheduled for Thursday the 17th July 2014.

Following are the draws for the tournament. A total 20 teams are participating in this prestigious tournament.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.
