New Delhi, Jan 4: Proceedings in Lok Sabha were disrupted on Thursday by protesting AIADMK and TDP members, prompting Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to suspend 21 more MPs for unruly behaviour, which prevented continuation of the debate on Rafale deal which had started on Wednesday. The lower House was adjourned for the day amid protests from unrelenting AIADMK and TDP members who trooped into the Well.
The members were suspended under rule 374A which will prevent them from attending the remaining days of the session which concludes on January 8. While AIADMK members raised protested with their demand of stalling construction of a dam by Karnataka on Cauvery, TDP members sought special status for Andhra.
On Wednesday, 24 MPs of AIADMK were suspended, taking the total number of members from the lower House to 45.
