In 3 years 9 RSS, BJP activists murdered in Karnataka: Home Minister

Belagavi, Dec 2: Home Minister G Parameshwara on Thursday said nine persons affiliated to the BJP and the RSS have been killed in the last three years in the state.

rssIn his written reply to BJP's Arun Shahapur in the Legislative Council, the minister said that the suspects in the recent murder of RSS activist Rudresh in Bengaluru are said to have links with SDPI, PFI, Indian Mujahideen and Al Ummah of Tamil Nadu.

The suspects in the murder case of Raju, a RSS activist of Mysuru, are in the judicial custody.

“But, the murders in other cases are due to personal reasons. The police have arrested a total of 85 persons in connection with all these murders.

“The government will provide protection to the BJP and the RSS workers if they want” Parameshwara added.

Udupi, May 4: Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha said that mechanised boat fishing will be permitted in Udupi district in another two days.

He further said that the decision was taken after the district was declared as a Green Zone as no fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from the district in the past several days.

The Deputy Commissioner told the media here that fishing will be permitted but social distancing has to be practised and only 30 boats will be permitted in a day.

Bengaluru, May 12: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa had promised to extend all co-operation for the safe and early return of the Karnataka ex-pats, living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), here on Tuesday.

He was speaking to the Karnataka ex-pats living in UAE, who had pleaded the chief minister to make arrangements for their return to the state.

Those who had spoken to the Chief Minister had informed that there is a large number of people, landed into a great difficulty ever since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and eager to return to their home state, Karnataka.
