82% people think Article 370 should be abolished, says Anupam Kher after posing question on Twitter

anupamNew Delhi, Dec 29: Bollywood actor Anupam Kher said on Monday that 82% people think that Article 370 should be abolished.

Kher posed the following question on Twitter - Can abolishing Article 370 be a solution for Kashmir Problem? What is your opinion?.

And then in another post today evening he wrote - "After 5000 votes 82% people think Article 370 should be abolished."

Yesterday, the actor had asked Kashmiri Pandits to fight for their rights, especially their rehabilitation in the Kashmir Valley.

Kher had also counseled Kashmiri Pandits to teach their children Kashmiri language.

"Nobody can stop the journey of progress of Kashmiri Pandits. While you should keep your wounds alive, you should also find the path (to achieve the goal of your return and rehabilitation in the Kashmir Valley). We don't have to seek anything in begging bowls. We should fight for our rights. Fight for your rights. When we were fighting war for freedom, we fought for our rights and that will make?us victorious," Kher had said at a programme to mark death anniversary of lawyer Prem Nath Bhat in Jammu.

Flanked by film director Ashok Pandit, Kher had added, "The moot question is that we should keep the sustenance for fight alive. We are now settled. It was important to settle in life and to have jobs. But we should not forget the fight and struggle. We should not only remember some specific dates but should ensure the fight of our existence throughout the yea, 365 days in the year."

Mumbai, Jul 27: Reel life villain Sonu Sood turned real life hero once again, this time by gifting a tractor on Sunday to a farmer in a remote village in Andhra Pradesh to help him till the land. The actor came up with the gift after coming through a video clip on Twitter wherein a tomato farmer in Madanapalle in Chittoor district was seen ploughing the land with his two daughters carrying the yoke on their shoulders.

In his instant reaction, Sood promised a pair of ox to the farmer, but later said the family deserved a tractor. "So sending you one. By evening a tractor will be ploughing your fields. Stay blessed," Sood, who acted as a villain in numerous Telugu films, said in a tweet.

True to his word, a new tractor was delivered to the elated farmer Nageswara Rao at his Mahalrajupalle village by Sunday night. Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who belongs to Chittoor district, hailed the actor's gesture.

"Spoke with @sonusood ji and applauded him for his inspiring effort to send a tractor to Nageswara Rao's family in Chittoor district. Moved by the plight of the family, I have decided to take care of the education of the two daughters and help them pursue their dreams," Naidu said in a tweet.

Rao's elder daughter completed her Intermediate while the second one passed Class 10. Rao used to run a tea stall in Madanapalle before coronavirus left him out of business. He returned to his native Mahalrajupalle village to take up agriculture once again.

Given his penury, he could not hire either a pair of bulls or a tractor to till the land, when his daughters volunteered to help him on the chores. Their plight went viral on social media following which the actor stepped in with help.

Chennai, Mar 3: Makkal Needhi Maiyam president and actor Kamal Hassan on Tuesday appeared before Chennai Police on Tuesday in connection the deaths last month of three people on the set of the movie, 'Indian 2'.

Hassan appeared before Chennai Police Commissioner in Egmore to record his statement.

Three people died while around 10 suffered injuries when a crane collapsed while shooting of the film was underway in Chennai at EVP Studios on February 19.

Madhu, personal assistant to director Shankar, Krishna, assistant director, and a staffer Chandran, lost their lives in the incident.

In an open letter, "Indian 2" Director S Shankar announced Rs 1 crore as financial assistance to the kin of the deceased.

'Indian 2' stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Delhi Ganesh and Nedumudi Venu in prominent roles.

Muzaffarnagar, May 18: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family has been quarantined for 14 days in his house in Budhana in Muzaffarnagar district.

The actor and his family underwent medical screening and have tested negative for Coronavirus.

The actor reached his home on May 15 after taking a travel pass. He and his family have been asked to remain in home quarantine till May 25.

His mother, brother and sister-in-law also made the journey with him in his private vehicle.

The actor told reporters that he underwent medical screenings at 25 points during his journey.

Kushalpal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Budhana police circle, said that the health officials had visited the home of the actor and ordered a 14-day quarantine for them.
