AAP is right-wing Maoist party, says gadkari

December 18, 2013
Nagpur, Dec 18: In a scathing attack on AAP, BJP leader Nitin Gadkari today dubbed the Arvind Kejriwal-led outfit's activities as "right-wing Maoism" and said its move to elicit views of people to form government in Delhi was a "mockery" of democracy.

"AAP is doing a tamasha (drama) over the popular mandate and asking people to tell them the future course of action. Why AAP is not forming government in Delhi when Congress has offered it unconditional support?..AAP's activities are right-wing Maoism," Gadkari, also BJP Delhi In-Charge, told reporters on the sidelines of ongoing winter session of state legislature here.

He alleged that people will soon get disillusioned with Aam Aadmi Party. "It seems the main job of the party and its leaders (is) only to attack others and make wild allegations," Gadkari alleged.

BJP has emerged as the single largest party with 32 seats in the 70-member Assembly in Delhi but is unable to form government in the wake of fractured mandate.

AAP, which emerged as the second largest party with 28 seats, has sought people's views on whether to form a minority government with outside support of Congress' eight MLAs.

Gadkari alleged that AAP is a "confused party of confused leaders".

"AAP is totally confused given the fact that when Congress extended its unconditional support to form government, the party sent a list of 18 conditions to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi," Gadkari said.

He was referring to a charter of 18 demands the party had sent to both Congress and BJP seeking their views on points that are presumed to be against the interest of both the national parties.

While Congress in its reply had made it clear that most of the issues mentioned by AAP can be addressed by government and do not need the House, BJP has not responded.

Gadkari said AAP and its leadership are "highly immature and irresponsible".

"They feel they are the only honest people and others are corrupt, while the fact is that AAP gave tickets to those who were denied nomination by BJP," he said.

New Delhi, May 30: An Air India flight from Delhi to Moscow on Saturday had to return midway after the airline's ground team found out that one of the pilots had tested positive for novel coronavirus, officials said.

"When the A320 plane, which did not have any passengers as it was heading to Moscow to bring back stranded Indians under Vande Bharat Mission, had reached Uzbekistan's airspace, our team on ground realised that one of the pilots had tested COVID-positive," senior Air India officials said.

"The flight was immediately asked to return. It came back to Delhi at around 12.30 pm on Saturday," the officials said. The crew has been quarantined. Another plane would be sent to Moscow to bring back the stranded Indians, according to the officials.

Jan 15: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday that the Muslim population in India increased manifold since the partition because they were given special rights and facilities, according to a report by The Indian Express.

"The Muslim population in India has increased manifold since 1947, it has gone up by seven to eight times. No one has any objection. If they, as citizens of the country, work for development, they are welcome. Their population has increased because they have been given special rights and facilities. All possible steps were taken to ensure their growth," Adityanath said while addressing a rally in Gaya organised by the BJP in support of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

He asked the audience, "But what happened in Pakistan?" Claiming that the Hindu population in Pakistan had decreased since 1947, he asked why it was so.

Yogi said that the countrywide anti-CAA protests are a "conspiracy" hatched from afar by those resentful of a united and grand India and these are being aided by a "crooked" opposition. He further charged that those opposing the legislation were committing the "paap" (sin) of working against national interests.

"For taking such a step, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah deserve acclaim. Instead, they are being attacked", Yogi lamented.

He himself contradicts his statements. He claims the Muslim population rose 8-9 (according to him) times since 1947. If he was educated its simple 73 years have passed the population grows. Still, the Muslim population is only a minority against the majority. He talks about special rights and facilities given yes agreed but not by him it's by the Constitution of India and for all the minorities. So it's not you its Constitution of India.  The majority of the people are against the act CAA is against the very fundamental of the Constitution of India which PM & HM are taking away from the people. If you disagree, disrespect, go against it then you are against the country itself in Hindi deshdruhi.
