Abu Hamdan lifts Safe Line Premier League Cup - 2016

Abu Dhabi: The powerful Abu Hamdan cricket team Abu Dhabi showed overall performance and emerged winners against the equally challenging Tecon Limited Sharja in the electrifying finals of the Safe Line Premier League- SPL 2016 ' - Season 2, hard tennis ball cricket tournament held at the Al Forsan international sports resort – khalifa city under the aegis of the National Cable industries, Safe line group of companies.

Aboobacker kuttikol - Managing Director of Safe line Group of companies inaugurated the event and motivated all the participating teams to exhibit their best performance. Shabnas sulaiman Captain of Safe line royal thunders cricket team handover the ball to Players.

Right from the initial stage, Abu Hamdan bowlers and batsmen showed exemplary performance to remain unbeaten till the end. In the exciting final battle Tecon won the toss and elected batting. Abu Hamdan bowlers restricted Tecon players to 33/6 in 4 overs. Tecon players tried hard to put up a good score; meantime they lost wickets due to run out. Abu handan group confidently chased the target and scored 34/2 in 3.1 overs. Saheer Alikoya, Hafees and Adnan’s best performance made the team victorious. Abu Hamdan won AED 10,000 cash award apart from winner Trophy and medals. While Tecon Limited received AED 5000 cash award, runner Trophy and medals.

Several sixes and super catches enthralled the audience. Tecon Limited Sharja too fought some tough contenders to remain in the finals. Emirates tools team settled for second runner-up in a deciding match. The interesting finals were witnessed by huge crowd of cricket lovers from the UAE.

Winners : Abu Hamdan group – Abu dhabi (10,000 AED Cash Prize, Trophy and Medals)
Runners : Tecon Limited – Sharjah
2nd runner up : EmiratesTools – Mussafah
Man of the match final : Hafees (Abu Hamdan group )
Man of the series tournament: Hafees (Abu Hamdan group )
Best batsman of the tournament : Adnan (Abu Hamdan group )
Best bowler of the tournament : Sohail ( Tecon Limited )
Best keeper of the tournament : Saheer ( Abu Hamdan group )
Best fielder of the tournament : Imran ( Control Electricals )
Best catch of the tournament : Razik ( Abu Hamdan group )

Aboobacker kuttikol - Managing director of safe line electrical & mechanical llc, Dr. Rajeev – Universal hospital, Narayanan – Interplast, Kailash – interplast, Zafar farooki - Jeddah cables, Numan – jeddah cables, Mourad – elsewedy cables, Aji – abb, Sekhar – abb, Ahmad butt – National cables were present during the prize distribution ceremony.

Seminar on ‘Sports Injury’, Medical camp and free health checkup for audience and players was organized under Universal Hospital. Face Painting and several games also organized for kids. As a part of corporate social responsibility of safe line Group, company decided to donate water coolers and pedestal fans to the labour camps.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Dr Soofi Anwar, Director Academics of University of Stirling RAK, UAE Campus, has achieved the prestigious professional recognition of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) UK. He has achieved this milestone through the Stirling Framework for Evidencing Learning and Teaching Enhancement (SFELTE), the Continuing Professional Development Framework (CPD) for learning and teaching at University of Stirling, Scotland, UK. 

He was recognized for this achievement on recently concluded virtual Learning & Teaching Conference-2020 organized by University of Stirling Campus in UK.  He has secured his Ph.D. in Management from University of Azteca, Mexico.

Dr. Soofi Anwar has over 20 years of experience in teaching and academic leadership at higher education level and has worked in leading universities in UAE, Bahrain and India. He was conferred the prestigious Middle East Education Leadership Award, as the Best Professor in Management-2018 in recognition of his academic excellence, exemplary leadership in higher education. Prior to his current role, he has worked on leadership position in Birla Institute of Technology Offshore Campus RAK.

He has completed his MBA from Dept. of Business Administration, Mangalore University in 1999 and his B. Com degree from Canara College Mangaluru.

He has published numerous research papers in management and in the area of teaching and learning in higher education in reputed academic journals and international conferences proceedings. He is a member of editorial board of two leading management journals and engaged in reviewing faculty research publications in the area of management and marketing. 

He is a son of Haji Abdul Khadar Kodijal and Mrs. Mariyamma from Konaje, Mangaluru.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.
