Ajman: KaDaM’s 9th anniversary on Nov 15

Kundapura Devadiga Mitra (KaDaM) will be celebrating their 9th anniversary on Friday the 15th of November, 2019 from 10 am in Habitat School Auditorium, Ajman.

President of KaDaM, Dinesh Chandrashekar Devadiga Nagoor has invited all the Community members of KaDaM to come in large numbers and be part of the celebrations.  Dinesh who is the Managing Director of Elegant Group of Companies is the main sponsor of the program.

Mahaligna Devadiga Uppunda, AGM of Corporation Bank, Bagalkote has agreed to preside the programme as Chief Guest with other dignitaries who will be arriving from India to grace the occasion.

DEVADIGA SADAKA PRASHASTI AWARD:

Nagaraj D. Padukone, Businessman and Social Worker of L.G. Foundation, Padukone will be honoured with ‘Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti’ Award during the occasion.

GUEST OF HONOUR:

Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee 2019, B.G. Mohandas who is the founder of Gulf Kannadiga.com and also the honorary advisor of KaDaM will be honoured during the programme.

Ln. B G Mohandas, became the first Byndoorian to get State Rajyotsava award this year and the 4th Gulf Kannadiga to be awarded the award.  Ln B G Mohandas was the zonal chairman Lions Clubs (1987-88).

He was the general secretary of Manipal Jaycess before migrating to Gulf in 1982.

He was awarded Out Standing Alumni of MCOPS, Manipal University in 2002. He is also a Winner of prestigious awards like Vishwa Manava award and First Da Ra Bendre Award by Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi and Mayura Award by Sharjah Karnatka Sangha.

He joined Lions Club of Manipal in 2014 and became its president during the Lionistic year 2015 – 2016. He was a 100% President and has won District Governor’s Appreciation Award. He has been felicitated by LC Gonikoppal and LC Biagama, Sri Lanka.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION: ‘KUSHA LAVA KALAGA’ YAKSHAGANA BALLET

The special attraction of the day is a grand Yakshagana Ballet ‘Kusha Lava Kalaga’ which will be presented by Shree Kshethtra Maranakatte Shree Brahmalingeshwara Yakshagana Mandali for the first time in UAE.

The artistes comprise of Ravi Devadiga Soralu as Bhagavathar, Chethan Acharya in Chende, Mahabaleshwara Gowda in Maddale with participants Irabailu Ananda Shetty as Rama, Sheena Devadiga Nagoor as Shatrughana, Kolali Krishna Shetty as Kusha, Vaataru Raveendra Shetty as Lava and Shekar Shetty Yelaberu in a comic role.  Sheena Devadiga Nagoor will be conducting this ballet which will start around 2 pm after lunch.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Riyadh: On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, Karavali Welfare Association Riyadh (KWAR) conducted BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN on the 17th Jan 2020 at KING SAUD Universities King Khalid University Hospital, Riyadh. 

This is one of KWARs Prestigious Humanitarian EVENT every year, as we are indebted to serve the society for a Great Cause.

The campaign began at 08:30 am with a theme of Republic Day Celebrations and went on till 3:30 pm. Irrespective of Friday being a weekend and holiday people came in good numbers to donate Blood. The Hospital Staff, The Doctors and the Blood Bank Technicians and others at King Khalid University Hospital were more than happy to serve all those who have participated in this campaign.

KWAR Thanks all the Hospital Staff especially Mr. Salman Baqsh for his introduction of KWAR to Blood Bank and all the arrangements for this campaign, without his support this could not been done. Dr. Zafar Mahmoud for his wonderful support during the campaign and Mr. Abdullah Al Saman for his outstanding Hospitality throughout the campaign. KWAR also thanks all the donors who came all the way voluntarily for this Great Humanitarian Cause. As a token of gesture KWAR awarded Certificate of Appreciation to all the participants.

And KWAR would like to thank specially Mr. Nasir, Representative of Blood Helpline Karnataka, who encouraged many donors and made them to actively participate and donate blood for this noble cause.

KWAR’s core activities was on display on the screen, with most of the Committee members were present at the venue to serve the donors. KWAR thanks all the members, the Executive committee and all those who took their valuable time to organize this event successfully and thank all our well-wishers who supported us for the BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN. We in KWAR wish every Donor and the participants a healthy life ahead, and we need everyone's active participation in all our Future events.
