New Delhi, Jan 21: A fan of actor Akshay Kumar cycled all the way from Haridwar to meet his idol in Mumbai. The Jolly LLB 2 star took to Twitter to share a photo of himself with his fan.

However, Akshay said that it is not advisable for someone to cycle such long distances (1,614 km) to meet him. He wrote, "Love you'll for all the love but request you'll not to do this" (sic)

That said, 1,614 km is only second to 1,706 km, the distance a fan covered when he cycled from Ranchi to Mumbai to meet Aamir Khan.

Incidentally, a few days back Shah Rukh Khan met his fan Shyam Bahadur Rohidas in Mumbai. Shyam Bahadur AKA Raju got in the news recently for putting up a banner, with the now-famous dialogue from Raees, "Koi dhanda chota nahi hota aur dhande se bada koi dharam nahi hota" (No business is small and no religion is bigger than business)", inside his Vile Parle-based shop in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh went ahead and met Shyam Bahadur himself and the cobbler gifted the Raees star a pair of specially handcrafted shoes.

Speaking of fans and their crazy antics, Bollywood stars have been having insane encounters with their fans for ages. In 2010, a female fan actually bit Imran Khan and had to be pulled away by guards as Imran kept screaming in pain.

That's not all. In 2015, an NRI fan of Shahid Kapoor climed Mount Elbrus - the highest mountain in Europe - that is 18,510 feet above sea level and hoisted a 'Haider' flag atop it.

Chennai, Jan 15: Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday called for neutrality in journalism and urged media outlets to report the truth.

Addressing an event organised by Tamil magazine ''Thuglak' in Chennai, the superstar-turned-politician said that the country needs a journalist like the late Cho S Ramaswamy, who helmed the publication for decades.

"The times, politics and society are going bad. In such a scenario, the media had a huge responsibility towards the people," he said.

Some television channels are biased towards political parties, Rajinikanth said. He added that media, critics and journalists must report the truth impartially.

Comparing true news to milk and fake reportage to water, Rajinikanth said people will not be able to distinguish between the two if they are mixed.

"Only journalists need to tell which portion is milk and which is water...write the truth and don't make a lie seem like truth," he said, amid applause.
