Am comfortable being clicked without make-up: Shraddha Kapoor

Mumbai, Mar 20: Young and gorgeous but more keen to let her work speak for her than her appearance, actress Shraddha Kapoor agrees "beauty lies in the eyes of beholder" and she will not hassled if she is photographed without make-up.

Asked if she is scared to go out without make-up now that she is one of most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, Shraddha said: "All the shutterbugs have got the picture of me without make up already."

Shraddha make-up"There were many times when I am out and I don't know whether there is a photographer or not and I am caught without make-up. I am comfortable being shot without make-up. I think you have to be comfortable with your own skin and then make-up or no make-up, it won't bother you much," added the "Ek Villain" fame actress who walked for Lakme Absolute Sculpt Show on the first day of Summer-Resort 2015 edition of Lakme Fashion Week .

The five-day fashion extravaganza is taking place at Hotel Palladium here.

The 26-year-old actress, who is also the face of cosmetic brand Lakme, looked ravishing in off shoulder gown matched perfectly with pink lip shade.

Shraddha feels that "make-up is very special moment in every girl's life" and recalls the time when she put on it first to attend an annual function during her childhood days.

"I was very young when I tried make-up for the first time. I was in junior KG class when I attended an annual function. There was a qawwali song with bunch of girls and I saw the pink shade of lipstick that my mom always used to wear. I was waiting to wear that lipstick and have some make up and blush. I have the picture too of that day and that's when I was allowed to wear make-up," said the daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor.

Shraddha, who began her Bollywood journey with films like "Teen Patti" and "Luv Ka The End", made it big with "Aashiqui 2" and "Ek Villain".

On whether she gives make-up inputs during shoots, the actress said: "Absolutely. If I see something, I definitely give my input. But, there are so many talented make-up artist out there with so many ideas that it is always great to work with them."

Mumbai, Apr 14: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has thanked Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for providing 25,000 personal protective equipment for health workers.

Khan on Monday provided the personal protective equipment (PPE) kits to the frontline medical staff in Maharashtra fighting to contain the novel coronavirus pandemic in the state.

Tope took to Twitter to thank the actor for the help.

Many thanks Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra," he tweeted.

The actor and his wife Gauri Khan recently offered their four-storey personal office space for treating COVID-19 patients.

Khan had earlier announced various initiatives to help the country during the crisis.

New Delhi, Jul 20: On the occasion of International Chess Day, former Miss World and actor Manushi Chhillar enjoyed a game of chess with her father Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar and revealed through an Instagram post that she is a "competitive" board game player.

The 23-year-old actor posted a picture of herself and her dad on Instagram where the two are seen deeply concentrating on the game.

"I'm the competitive one, he's the mind reader. Irrespective of who loses, I know he always wins!#InternationalChessDay."

Further elaborating on the importance of playing chess, Manushi who once pursued a career in medicine stressed that chess helps in stretching the human mind in terms of strategy and imagination.

"Chess stretches your mind in terms of strategy and imagination because you really have to outwit your opponent at any cost. 

Playing chess with my dad is something that I have always loved doing because he's the most unpredictable, intelligent, and sharpest person I've ever played with," said Chhillar.

The 23-year-old actor is gearing up for her debut in Yash Raj Films' 'Prithviraj' where she will be seen opposite actor Akshay Kumar.

Mumbai, Jun 15: Maharashtra police's cyber department has asked people to refrain from circulating online pictures of the body of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai's Bandra area.

Terming it as a "disturbing trend", it warned that circulation of such pictures could attract legal action.

Rajput, 34, was found hanging in his apartment on Sunday, sending shockwaves rippling through the Hindi film industry and elsewhere.

Later, some people circulated pictures of the actor's body on social media platforms, following which the state police's cyber department said it was in "bad taste".

A disturbing trend has been observed on Social Media platforms by Maharashtra Cyber that pictures of deceased actor Sushant Singh Rajput are being circulated, which are disturbing and in bad taste," it tweeted late Sunday night.

"It is emphasised that circulation of such pictures is against legal guidelines and court directions, and are liable to invite legal action," it added.

Urging netizens to refrain from posting such photos, the cyber department said the pictures already circulated should be deleted henceforth.

"In the digital age, every piece of information we read or watch needs to be cross-checked, verified and we all have to be careful before believing or forwarding them," it said.

After the actor's death, police said no note was found at the spot.

Police sources also said they did not find any foul play in their initial investigation.
