Ameena, suffering from tuberculosis, needs your help for treatment

Ameena, aged about 44 years, wife of Sayed K.H. Thirthahalli, has been suffering from medical condition for more than one year. She was later diagnosed with T.B.(Tuberculosis).

She was advised to undergo medical procedure and hence she was admitted in Mangalore Father Muller Medical College Hospital last year for the medical treatment. She was in the hospital for 4 months for long treatment. The treatment including cost of drugs & other expenses incurred more than 6 lakhs Rupees.

Since it's recurrent haemoptysis, she needs continuous treatment for this disease. She needs further huge amount, which is highly unaffordable due to her poor financial condition. 

She hails from a very poor family. Unless a further treatment is done, her condition becomes really deteriorated.Her husband has been working as house driver for the low salary, which is just sufficient for their hands to mouths.The huge amount was spent for the treatment by making loans including finance loans etc. Her family condition is undergoing a bad financial condition owing to loans as well as her further treatment.

Therefore, she is looking forward earnestly & desperately to have financial help from the donors, charitable organizations & other philantropists so that she can have a continous treatment for her hailment.

Udupi, Jan 22: Udupi district authorities was on high alert following the bomb detected at Mangalore International Airport (MIA).

Udupi railway police said that security had been strengthened in all the railway stations, including Padubudri, Senapur, Barkur, Kundapur and Indrali in the district.

The police in mufti and uniform were on constant beats in the railway stations. Besides, dog squads and bomb detection squads have been deputed in the railways stations, they said.

Bengaluru, Jul 26: A total of 5,199 new COVID-19 cases and 82 deaths were reported from Karnataka on Sunday, the state's health department said.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the state stands at 96,141, including 58,417 active cases and 35,838 recoveries.
So far, 1,878 deaths have been reported from Karnataka.

Meanwhile, India reported a spike of 48,661 cases and 705 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.

A total of 9,46,777 tests have been done so far and the number of tests per million in the national capital stands at 49,830.

The total COVID-19 positive cases stand at 13,85,522, including 4,67,882 active cases, 8,85,577 cured/discharged/migrated, and 32,063 deaths, it added.

Kundapur, Mar 2: A 43-year-old man was arrested by the local police in Udupi district after he allegedly raised pro-Pakistan at Mini Vidhana Soudha in Kundapur today morning.

The man has been identified as Raghavendra Ganiga (43), a resident of Kody in Kundapur. He was working as a Hindi teacher in a private school in the town a few years ago.

According to sources, Ganiga arrived at the Mini Vidhana Soudha at around 10 am and scaled the steps to the building raising 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans repeatedly.

He continued to raise slogans on the corridor and after entering a hall.  A few people recorded this drama on their mobile phones and informed the police.

Later, Kundapur tahisldar filed a written complaint against with the local police, who took Ganiga into custody.

According to police, Ganiga was under depression after his wife deserted him and left him with their only child.
