New Delhi, Oct 27: God has his own ways to compensate for things. So, if your ISL team is on a losing spree, rest assured; your lady love will be by your side, to soothe you, comfort you. Call it a rare sighting, but this wonder happened at a recent ISL match – FC Pune City vs FC Goa – where the ‘IT’ couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli made their first public appearance together.

Anushka Sharma ISLFor the uninitiated, the duo has been successful in keeping their relationship under wraps for years now, with some minor glitches here and there. There have been reports of Anushka visiting Virat on the practice matches of the Indian Cricket Team and Virat returning the favour by visiting Anushka on the sets of the her movies. All this while, the celebrity couple has successfully dodged the shutterbugs and managed not to have got clicked even once together.

But not this time! The young couple was seen enjoying the ISL match on Sunday (October 26), though Virat’s team was losing and he was visibly perturbed. But much to his respite, there was Anushka giving him company at the stands.

Both sported casual looks and seemed more engrossed in the match, than in each other. But we don’t complain. It should be like that; Virat’s team hasn’t had the best of run this season.

Recently, there were also reports that Virat and Anushka’s parents have met over coffee and discussed the future of their children. Seems the Cricket-Bollywood liasion this time also is going to fruition, sooner than we expect, as it happened in previous cases, like Nawab Pataudi – Sharmila Tagore or Mohammed Azharuddin – Sangeeta Bijlani.

With the ‘parents-meeting’ and ‘public appearances’ making their way, can we expect some ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ too? Time will tell! But, for the time being, we love these two immensely talented people together, don’t we?

Chennai, Jan 15: Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday called for neutrality in journalism and urged media outlets to report the truth.

Addressing an event organised by Tamil magazine ''Thuglak' in Chennai, the superstar-turned-politician said that the country needs a journalist like the late Cho S Ramaswamy, who helmed the publication for decades.

"The times, politics and society are going bad. In such a scenario, the media had a huge responsibility towards the people," he said.

Some television channels are biased towards political parties, Rajinikanth said. He added that media, critics and journalists must report the truth impartially.

Comparing true news to milk and fake reportage to water, Rajinikanth said people will not be able to distinguish between the two if they are mixed.

"Only journalists need to tell which portion is milk and which is water...write the truth and don't make a lie seem like truth," he said, amid applause.
