Arjun Rampal on divorce rumours: Don't have any views

August 30, 2015

Mumbai, Aug 30: Actor Arjun Rampal has been on a continuous media trial over rumours of a rocky relationship with his wife Mehr Jessia. But the actor prefers not to react.

arjunArjun and Mehr, who have been married for over 15 years, have been caught in the midst of divorce rumours, and while Arjun has slammed the media over it in the past, he now seems unaffacted.

"I don't have any views as I feel people have more views than me," Arjun said here when asked about his views on the rumours related to his personal life.

Arjun married Mehr, a supermodel of her time, in 1998. Together, they have two daughters.

Arjun walked the runway for European brand Buggati shoes, that's making its India foray through e-commerce platform Jabong.

Arjun unveiled the collection on the ramp in a classic pair of Bugatti shoes with his name inscribed on them.

He was even seen walking around the venue with Mehr; they both posed for shutterbugs; and later even took a seat next to each other for designer Monisha Jaising's show, the last presentation of the fourth day of the fashion gala on Saturday.

Asked if Arjun, a model-turned-actor, has ever thought about launching his own fashion line, he said: "Offers keep coming to me where people want (me) to do that. It can work out at some point of time, but right now my mind is not there.

"My mind is more in films, so I am focussing more towards that. I am really not too much towards creating a clothing line (as of now.)"

He, however, feels that Indian designers are doing great in creating more menswear lines, and says he feels proud whenever he flaunts ethnic clothes wherever he goes.

"When I went to Cannes (in 2012), I wore Rohit Balas bandgala. I like ethnic wear and I think Indian designers are doing really well. I feel they are doing really good cuts even in western jackets.

"Also, some of the western designers are copying our designer bandgala, so that proves... I love my Indian designers and whenever I get an opportunity, I wear their creations," said Arjun, who was last seen on the big screen in Roy, and is currently working on Daddy.

Before stepping into Bollywood in 2001 with Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Arjun was a hugely successful model. He says that the fashion ramp has given him everything and if his daughters would like to be a part of this world, he will support them.

"Modelling gave me a lot in my life. I never look down upon modelling as a profession. Whatever my daughters want to do, I'm fine with it. They can act, model, (indulge in) sports... as long as they are passionate towards it. They really need to love it and it should come from within," he said.

New Delhi, Jun 24: Actor Bhumi Pednekar supported migrant labourers traveling long distances amid the coronavirus pandemic, in a rather unique way- by donating footwear to them.

The gut-wrenching images of migrants walking barefoot on the roads made the 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' actor take the plunge to help them.

Pednekar joined hands with a footwear company and a volunteer-based non-government organisation - The Robin Hood Army - to help the underprivileged with footwear.

The actor helped over 1000 migrant labourers in and around Ghaziabad in Murad Nagar, Govindpuram, Vijay Nagar, and distributed footwear among men and women across age-groups.
