Mumbai, Feb 17: Legendary singer Asha Bhosle has received the fifth Yash Chopra Memorial Award.

Bhosle was honoured here last night by yesteryear diva Rekha and the actor credited the legendary singer and Chopra for making her a big star in Hindi film industry.

"I am here because of two people Yashji and Asha Bhosle. She is part of my life. She is beautiful inside out. I have learnt a lot from the Mangeshkar family. Lataji and Ashaji.

"Initially I used to be afraid of her, as, on her own songs, I had to perform on-screen and express it all through my eyes. What I have learnt from her is to keep smiling all the time. May you live long," Rekha said, before presenting the award to Bhosle.

The previous recipients of the award are Lata Mangeshkar, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

"It feels good to get the award, it is a special award. I am happy to get an award in his name but I am sad that he is not alive today. I always wonder what if he was alive today. I have got no answer," Bhosle said.

Remembering her first meeting with Chopra, Bhosle, said, she was introduced to the director by B R Chopra.

"He was like a brother to me. We used to joke around a lot. He used to sit for recording. IÂ had worked in a film called 'Mai', I was blackmailed to do the film, he (Chopra) did the clapping for me, I was initially scared as he had directed 22 films but it all turned out to be good at the end," she added.

The event was also attended by Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Alka Yagnik, Jackie Shroff, Parineeti Chopra, Poonam Dhillon, Jaya Prada among others.

The Award has been instituted by the TSR Foundation of T Subbarami Reddy in memory of producer-director Yash Chopra, who died in 2012.

New Delhi, Aug 5: Playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam on Wednesday confirmed testing positive for COVID-19 with 'mild' symptoms.

The 74-year-old musician shared the information through a video message posted on his official Facebook page.

In the video, the singer detailed about having a little "discomfort" for two days, stating he had chest congestion along with cold and on-off fever, which led him to get tested for the virus.

However, he also mentioned that he could have stayed at home in self-quarantine, as advised, but did not want to put his family in danger, and hence got admitted by his own choice, to recover quickly.

"I am in good hand, I am in good health. Nobody has to worry about this. The fever has subsided, and in two days I'll be discharged and I'll be home. Thanks for the concern," he said in the video message.

The couple got married on January 20 in Malibu, California in a private marriage ceremony.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of the couple's split on Saturday stating that the pair has decided to "uncouple."

Los Angeles, Jun 26: Warner Bros has moved its Christopher Nolan-directed espionage thriller Tenet from July 31 to August 12.

It's the second delay for the highly-anticipated movie, which was originally scheduled to release on July 17 but was postponed to July 31 due to coronavirus pandemic.

Warner Bros. is committed to bringing Tenet' to audiences in theaters, on the big screen, when exhibitors are ready and public health officials say it's time. In this moment what we need to be is flexible, and we are not treating this as a traditional movie release.

We are choosing to open the movie mid-week to allow audiences to discover the film in their own time, and we plan to play longer, over an extended play period far beyond the norm, to develop a very different yet successful release strategy, a Warner Bros spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline.

The studio has also delayed the US re-release of Nolan's sci-fi blockbuster Inception, in honour of the film's 10th anniversary, to July 31.

Tenet features John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine, Clemence Poesy, Dimple Kapadia and Himesh Patel.
