‘Babri Masjid demolition led to fascist upsurge in India’

Dammam: India Fraternity Forum, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, organized a seminar on “Re-establishment of constitutional values - our responsibility” as part of “Lest We Forget Babri Masjid” campaign on December 5, 2014 at Nahda Club Auditorium in Dammam-Khobar road.

Key speaker of the event, Fayaz N, Executive member of India Fraternity Forum, said: “Babri Masjid was not mere Masjid; it was a symbol of secularism. Fascist Forces not just demolished Babri Masjid, instead destroyed the constitutional values. We can understand that the fascist forces largely developed their roots in India after the Babri Masjid demolition. As a result of Babri Masjid demolition the fascist forces came to the power due to the inefficiency of secular forces”.

“Lest we forget, struggle functioning for re-building of Babri Masjid and thereby giving Justice to all Indians,” he added.

Meeraj Gulbarga, Executive member of India Fraternity Forum, Urdu chapter, said: “The people of India have failed to realize the depth of fascism. We should realize that secularism is the foundation of our nation and as citizens of India it is our responsibility to promote the constitutional Values”.

Chief guest of the event, Jalil Mukri, a poet, also spoke on the occasion.

The other guests on the dais were Sharief, President of Indian Social Forum, and Mohammed Ashraf, General Secretary of India Fraternity Forum. The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Brother Abdul Basheer. Irshad J., Secretary of India Fraternity Forum, prefaced the program and Mohammad Ashraf proposed vote of thanks. The event was compered by Brother Mansoor and the whole event was coordinated by Brother Imran Katipalla. India Fraternity Forum volunteers helped make the event successful.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.

Kuwait: Eid is usually a time of family get-togethers and feasts after weeks of dawn-to-dusk fasting. But this year people celebrated at home, with virus fears dampening the holiday spirit and strict restrictions in place.

Kuwait went under full curfew before the start of Ramadan leaving people to practice fasting and Ramadan rituals at home, Even Eid al-Fitr came under full lock-down period.

As situation demanded, IMA Kuwait celebrated the Eid Get-together online via video conferencing tool, All IMA members participated joyfully in Eid Milan online gathering which was scheduled immediately after Eid prayer. Members participated and congratulated each other on the eve of Eid.

The IMA president Shamvel Parviz addressed the gathering and thanked them for joining online for this unique Eid celebration which will be remembered in history. He also advised members to be aware of conditions of neighbors, friends and family and assist them if they need help in this difficult time.

Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims all over Kuwait followed strict guideline and performed Eid prayer at home along with their family.

As a part of social service activities IMA also distributed ration kits before start of Ramadan and during Ramadan for needy people all over Kuwait.
