Badriya Welfare Committee hosts Family Mulaqat-2 in Dubai

Dubai: Badriya Welfare Committee Koornadka, UAE hosted Family Mulaqat -2 at Zabeel Park, Dubai on January 11, 2019 from 6 pm to 10 pm.

The program started with welcome speech by Shakir Koornadka. SKSSF Karnataka UAE’s president Syed Askar Ali Thangal Kolpe inaugurated the ceremony and Abdul Razak Haji performed Dua.

BWC Main Committee Honorary President Usman Mareel, President Usman Kemminje, and Treasurer Ibbiyaka and Newly Elected President Ashraf Kemminje and Gen. Secretary Aseef Mareel made the participants to understand the objective of Mulaqat.

Chief guest Moideen Kutty Haji Dibba, Ashraf Sha Manthoor, Shareef Kavu, Sulaiman Baithadka, Razak Sompady, Shareef Kodineer, Ashraf Arthikere, Noor Mohammad Neerkaje, Hameed Musliyar Neerkaje, Ashraf Parladka, Adam Mukrampady, Jabbar Baithadka, Abdul Salam Bappalige, were invited on the stage respectively.

All the guests spoke well on the occasion and the BWC Building Committee Chairman Abdul Kahder Haji Baithadka also rendered a beautiful note highlighting some of the necessities to be considered for the development of Koornadka. He also stressed that people have to come forward collectively and join hand in hand with BWC.

The Chairman of BWC Family Mulaqat-2, Shamsudeen Koornadka, Vice Chairman Yahiya Koornadka, Gen. Secretary Shakir Koornadka, Secretary Ashik Baithadka and Treasurer Arif Baithadka were present on the podium.

Various competitions and games like Tug of War, 100mtr Race, 3 Leg Race, Sack Bag Race Lemon and Spoon, Needle Thread, Passing the ball, Painting and other activities for seniors, Youths, ladies and children were held under the supervision of Aseef Mareel and Ibbiyaka and prizes were distributed to all the winners in the event.

Lucky draw was conducted out of the gathering of 125 participants in which Shareef Kodineer was selected for the sacred umrah pilgrimage and he sponsored his prize to Sadik Koornadka. 

Delicious homemade dinner was served and the Charumburi and the Buffet arrangements by Shakir Koornadka and Haris Koornadka were made more attraction to this event. Secretary Arif Baithadka proposed the vote of thanks at the end.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.

Dubai: In response to UAE health authorities encourage blood donation campaign Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta - U.A.E, conducted blood donation camps on April 22 at Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and on 23/04/2020 at Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah.

The Abu Dhabi camp was inaugurated by Head of Department of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, On this occasion she gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation, urged the participants to spread greater awareness about the importance of blood donation and congratulated the AKO members for their selfless social service and wished all the best for their future endeavours.

Abdul Rasheed, President of AKO presided over the function and Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta Vice President Mr. Mohammad Nasir appreciated the effort for organizing this camp and gathering youths to be a part of this noble cause as life is precious on this earth. "Each drop of blood counts much, so kindly take it as personal compassion to help unknown who requires blood with no relatives to help him/her.

In Abu Dhabi 41 and in Sharjah 49 donors participated in this event and donated their blood. It was nice to see cheerful smiling donors doing a great community work.
Blood bank staff and AKO Organizing team enthusiastically arranged the campaign which was witnessed by many members and leaders of various community organization of Karnataka.

Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta President briefed the participates about the ongoing social work of AKO in this current COVID-19 pandemic grim situation AKO is working on following fields: AKO Members have stepped up to support needy community during the Covid-19 pandemic have gone out of their way to comfort those struggling to deal with the challenging situation.

While thousands of people continue to #StayHome, many are in quarantine, there are those on visit visa and stuck here, others have lost jobs or face salary cuts. AKO in coordination with UAE Embassy and other social organization have been able to ensure basic necessities are fulfilled with food provisions and medical assistance to needy.

Providing counselling to bachelors and families those are on quarantine and isolation.

The organizers thanked everybody especially, UAE Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah, Management and staff as well as donors for their time and support for the good cause.
