Bahrain Bearys’ League 2019: player auction held

Bahrain: It was indeed a memorable movement in Bahrain when Mangalurean Beary youngsters got together to present the inaugural auction of players for IPL format like “Bahrain Bearys’ League” or in other words “BBL -1”. It’s the first of its kind in Bahrain.

BBL Season1 will be a foundation for Beary youngsters residing in Bahrain to showcase and promote their talents and skills in the field of cricket. It is an open door to unite Beary community in terms of charity and social works. This will also help the Beary community to build a strong network within.

BBL -1 is organized by Nihal Marfukhan, Shafi Kambalbettu, Naufanl Renjanady, Asif Derby and Ashraf Kolpe along with support of Abdul Aziz Al Beary and Riaz BK (Casa Arabia Design Studio)

BBL- 1 title is sponsored by Mr. Mohammed Mansoor of Saara Groups and Powered by Mr. Abdul Sattar Koteshwar (President Group)

BBL-1 Player Auction was held at Park Regis hotel in Juffair. The enthusiasm from the team owners and players were mesmerizing as everyone got heavily involved to buy the player of their choice by bidding.

Auction was conducted in a very professional custom by Mr. Safwan Shad (MC) which gave everyone a glimpse of what is yet to come.

Mr Mansoor welcomed chief guest of the event Mr. Mohammed Shahid (President KHK sports) delivered an inspirational speech and message for youngsters and he applauded the professionalism of the event presented.

Guest of honour Haji Razak (Metelco) in his speech commended youngsters and assured his whole-hearted support for such events in future.

More stimulating and motivational speeches continued by rest of guests of honour Mr. Mansoor al Arrayyed, Mr. Prachur Shukla, Mr Nizar Mahmood, Mr. Abid, Mr. Saeed and Mr. Asif Hilal.

BBL-2019 management pledged that the amount received by the tournament will be used for the noble cause in Beary community.

Please i request you all to check the source of income of Mr. Mansoor whether it comes from halaal or haraam.....ALLAH knows the best.....may ALLAH protect this ummah from all kind of fitnas...aameen.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Chaiman Dr Sam Pitroda held video conference with senior IOC office bearers across Middle Eastern countries on 14th April 2020 to review the impact of COVID-19 pandemic among Indians residing in the region. Almost all speakers appreciated the efforts initiated and  implemented by  respective governments to contain spread of the deadly virus as well as measures taken towards welfare of the people affected by the lockdown. 

IOC Presidents, Mohammed Mansour - Bahrain, Abdullah Manjeri - Saudi Arabia, Dr J Ratan kunar - Oman and Girish kumar - Qatar, highlighted the quality treatment of patients and finacial aid provided by governments and other authorities. Bahrain IOC president Mansour , also  apprised about the 'Food for Needy' drive in Association with KHK Heroes foundation, initiated by HH Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and quality treatments as well as financial aid to local and expat residents.

Anura Mathai, IOC  Global Event Coordinator, spoke about certain problems of Indians in the UAE. IOC Middle East Convener, Mansoor Palloor, emphasised and requested IOC Chairman to urge Indian government to arrange immediate repatriation of indians stranded in Gulf countries. AICC Secretary, Himanshu Vyas, IOC Secretary Dr Arathi Krishna, Dr Arshi Malik (Abha), Mohiuddin Sirajudeen (Jeddah), Advocate Joseph Palathara (Dammam) Prasad Kodru, Jayati Maitra Ziyad Ahmed (Qatar) and Khursheed Alam (Gen Secretary- Bahrain) also apprised the participants about various issues relevant to the pandemic and suggested further initiatives to be undertaken. 

Dr Sam Pitroda briefed about sustained and consolidated efforts by all IOC members  during this unprecedented situation facing the world and assured that he would convey IOC  concerns to the government and try his best to ensure all possible help is made available to all needy Indians.

Doha: Selvam aged 46 son of Subramanian hailing from Panakulam Village, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District in Tamilnadu province who worked as a technician, died in Qatar on April 24.

Due to challenging situation prevailing in both India & Qatar for body repatriation services, especially in Covid-19 atmosphere, Family is unable to progress further for past 2 months. At his stage Family of the deceased met Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Pudukkottai office bearers and requested to intervene and help out, and also agreed to bury the body in Qatar itself.

Hence, SDPI delegates communicated with well-known Indian Expatriate welfare Organization - Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF). QISF General Secretary Basheer Ahamed, Secretary Abdullatheef Madikeri and team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation within a short period of time and arranged for a peaceful burial of Mr. Selvam in Dukhan cemetery.
