Bantwal, Feb 11: The sleuths of the Bantwal Town police station have arrested Mohammed Ikbal, 32, of Perlia in Bantwal, who had failed to appear before a trial court for the past three years.
The police said Ikbal had been arrested in connection with four criminal cases registered in 2006, 2015 and 2017.
He failed to appear in court and the court subsequently issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
On a tip-off, a police team went to Perlia and arrested Ikbal from his hideout on Friday. He was booked under Section 229 (A) of the Indian Penal Code and produced in court. He was remanded in judicial custody.
