New Delhi, Jun 16: Supporting Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's views on warmongering, representatives from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress have said that the superstar has voiced the collective opinion of all Indians.salman

Speaking at a promotional event, Khan had said "those people who order war, they should be given guns and made to fight. Within a day all conflicts will get over as their legs will start shaking."

Agreeing with Khan, BJP leader Shaina NC told ANI here that war is never a solution.

"However, any decision related to this is for the Centre and the administration to take; it is not for us to comment upon. However, we must stand in solidarity with our armed forces," she added.

Expressing a similar stance, Congress leader Hidayathulla urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote peace talks between India and Pakistan, adding that the current strategy being implemented by the Centre can be detrimental to the country.

"All Indians bat for peace between the two countries. Right now, China and Pakistan are trying to get Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar under their fold. This can be detrimental for India. The Centre should not express enmity at this point; they should resume the peace talks that had been carried out earlier," he said.

At a promotional event for his upcoming film 'Tubelight', the 'Sultan' star, who in the movie, experiences the turmoil of emotions that one goes through after being separated by a loved one as a result of war, expressed his opinion on warmongering and said, "In war, the armies of both sides lose their lives. The families are without their sons or their fathers. They have to live their whole lives without them. Those people who order war, they should be given guns and made to fight. Within a day, all conflicts will get over as their legs will start shaking."

The Kabir Khan-directorial is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war and narrates the story of two brothers who were separated by the war, when one of them joins the Indian Army to fight the Chinese and gets captured by their Army.

Reports also state that Kangana Ranaut and Shekhar Kapur, who are not directly involved with the investigation, are likely to be asked to record their statements.

The development comes days after the cops had asked for the details of SSR’s contract with Yashraj Films. The MS Dhoni actor had starred in Shuddh Desi Romance and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, which were backed by the banner. He was supposed to team up with YRF for Paani, directed by Kapur, but the movie was on hold due to creative differences between the Mr India helmer and the production house.

Sushant died by suicide on June 14, leaving his near and dear ones in a state of shock. Following his demise, fans alleged that several Bollywood biggies had tried to sabotage his career as he was an ‘outsider’, reigniting the nepotism debate.

SSR, who hailed from Patna, made an impact in the TV industry before entering Bollywood with the sleeper hit Kai Po Che. He impressed fans with his performances in PK and Shuddh Desi Romance, consolidating his standing in the industry. It was, however, MS Dhoni that established him as a bankable star. Kochi, Jan 6: A trial court on Monday framed charges against Malayalam film actor Dileep and other accused in the case of alleged abduction and molestation of a south Indian actress in 2017.

The actor and nine other accused were present in the additional special sessions court in Ernakulamwhen the charges were framed against them.

All of them have denied the charges.

On Saturday, the Court had dismissed a plea filed by Dileep, seeking to exclude him from the list of accused.

The Court had admitted the prosecution argument that there is prima facie evidence against him in the crime and dismissed the plea of the actor, who is eighth accused in the case.

The court had also not allowed a plea by the actor to grant him 10 days time to file the appeal in a higher court in the light of the Supreme Court order in November 2019 that the trial should be completed in six months.

The court is hearing the case in-camera.

On December 19, Dileep, along with his lawyers and a technical expert, had examined the contents of the electronic records at the closed room of the court.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had directed that the actor be allowed to inspect the records to enable him to present an effective defence during the trial.

In February 2017, the actress was allegedly abducted and molested by the accused.

Seven people, including the key accused 'Pulsar' Suni were arrested in connection with the actress' abduction case.

There are 10 accused in the case.

The entire act had allegedly taken place in a moving vehicle, which was filmed by the accused to blackmail her.

Dileep was subsequently arrested and arrayed as an accused in connection with offences under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and IT Act.

The top court had directed that the trial in case be concluded expeditiously, preferably within six months from the date of the judgement.

A woman judge is hearing the case.

In February 2019, the High Court, while considering a plea seeking to transfer the case to a Sessions Court headed by a woman judge to conduct the trial, had ordered the CBI special court Judge-III Ernakulam Honey M Varghese to complete the trial expeditiously.
