BJP conspiring to oust me, says Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

October 28, 2015

Bengaluru, Oct 28: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the BJP of conspiring against him and deliberately creating a rift between the dalit and the backward class communities. He has also indirectly attacked his own party leaders for colluding with the BJP in a bid to oust him from power.

Siddaramaiah, who was supposed to inaugurate the Valmiki Jayanti celebrations at the Banquet Hall in Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday, could not be there owing to his engagements in New Delhi. His speech copy was, however, distributed to the media present at the venue.

Siddaramaiah has stated that the BJP had time and again conspired against him, and it was in fact the saffron party leaders who were raking up the issue of dalit chief minister. This, because certain leaders in both the BJP and Congress could not digest the fact that he was representing the backward classes, dalits and minorities. He wondered why the dalit chief minister theory was never floated during the BJP’s tenure.

Stating that a dalit should become not only a chief minister, but also a prime minister, he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not taking action against his Cabinet colleague V K Singh for his controversial remark while referring to the death of two dalit children in Faridabad.

The minorities, dalits and backward communities had always been neglected and cheated by the BJP. They had been targets of atrocities and exploitation, and that the BJP would never work towards the welfare of these communities,?Siddaramaiah stated.

Minister for Social Welfare and Backward Classes H Anjaneya in his address to the gathering said that he would urge the chief minister to set up a Valmiki study chair, aside from his statue in Vidhana Soudha. Social worker and theatre exponent K?Nagarathnamma was conferred with the Valmiki Maharshi award on the occasion.

Bengaluru, Feb 14: Bengaluru Police on Friday said that it has busted a gang engaged in e-commerce fraud over the online marketplace who were involved in 200 of the 316 cheating cases registered last year.

"We registered 316 cases for cheating through online marketplaces last year. We have busted a gang operating from Rajasthan's Bharatpur and arrested 5 people. They are responsible for 200 out of 316 cases. We are questioning the accused," Bhaskar Rao, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru told reporters here.

Explaining their modus operandi, the Police Commissioner said, "There were fictitious buyers and sellers on the online marketplace. These people used to call up prospective buyers and sellers. The products that were shown were two-wheelers, four-wheelers, electronic items and furniture."

"People used to send their money to these fraudsters using their QR code. The fraudsters were operating from Bharatpur in Rajasthan. A police team of 15 was sent to the place from where they were operating. Rajasthan police gave us full cooperation and we were able to arrest five persons," he added.

Rao said that these fraudsters had an idea about the loopholes in the e-commerce sector and exploited them.
"Some of those arrested were employed in the e-commerce and banking business and they had an idea about the loopholes in this sector," he said.

"We warn the citizens to ensure that they verify the antecedents of the buyers and sellers in this sector before spending money on these platforms," he added.

Kochi, Mar 2: The Vatican has rejected the second appeal by Sister Lucy Kalappura -- one of the nuns who protested against rape accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal -- against her expulsion from Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC).

In her plea, she had demanded that her version be heard and her expulsion from FCC revoked.

She was expelled from FCC for participating in public protests demanding the arrest of Franco Mulakkal in the nun rape case.

''I got a letter from Vatican which says my appeal has been rejected. But the rest of the letter is written in the Latin language. So after I understand it, I will respond," Sister Lucy told news agency.

''The authorities are contemptuous of those who make such complaints. That is why the letter is written in Latin. Sister Lucy would continue her legal fight in the courts,'' said George Moolechalil, who has been authorised by Sister Lucy to communicate with the media on her behalf.

A petition of Sister Lucy is still pending at Mananthavady Munsif Court at Wayanad that demands that she should not be expelled from the convent where she is staying.

Religious issues should be resolved within the guidelines of devine laws.

Unfortunately the Chrisitianity is no more in its originality.

The holy bible has been systematically abused and edited to the benefits of rulers.

The book has been contaminated with lots of editions.

People should search for truth and follow it.

Example, the religion never told to remain unmarried for priests or nuns.

They go against its teaching inveting their own idea against God's teaching.
