Mangaluru, Oct 6: The BJP has demanded the resignation of Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader following the murder of a youth by unidentified miscreants in latter’s constituency.

Muhammad Zubair, 45, and his friend Illiyas, 62, were attacked with weapons by a group of four persons near a place of worship in Mukkacherry. BJP leaders claim that Zubair was an active BJP worker.

Footage from CCTV cameras showed assailants scaling the compound wall and attacking Zubair and Illiyas, who were near their motorcycles outside the place.

Zubair died on the spot, while Illiyas was admitted to a private hospital with injury on his hand.

The BJP on Thursday held a demonstration in front of Ullal Police Station alleging that the attackers were peddlers of cannabis and attacked Zubair and Iliyas as they provided information about them to police. The police, however, have ruled out this premise.

BJP spokespersons G Madhusudhan and Anwar Manippady alleged that Zubair was killed by the associates of a Youth Congress worker named Ilyas who according to them an aide of Khader.

“Footage from a mosque shows the murder. Passersby can be heard saying Ilyas’s aides are involved in the killing,” Manipadi said.

U T Khader has strongly condemned the murder and urged the police to nab the culprits immediately. He urged the people not to use the murder for political gains.

Mr.Mann Paady first concentrate on compulsory 5times prayer practise and Dheen later on Dhuniya. If you much closer with Dheen automatically you will start to talk about truth and always you will get full respect. Esle you have to stick with munafik groups.

Suggest to think about Aakhira hope you able to understand about the rest all points.

Bengaluru, May 1: The Karnataka government on Friday issued a show cause notice to an IAS officer over his recent tweet about coronavirus-cured Tablighi Jamaat members donating plasma for treatment of other patients.

The officer, Mohammad Mohsin, was in the news last year after the Election Commission suspended him for trying to inspect Prime Minister Narendra Modi's helicopter during his visit to Odisha in April. He was deployed as a poll observer.

"More than 300 Tablighi Heroes are donating their plasma to serve the country in New Delhi only. What about? #Godi Media? They will not show the works of humanity done by these heroes," Mohsin said in a tweet on April 27.

A 1996 batch IAS officer from Karnataka cadre hailing from Bihar, Mohsin is currently serving as a secretary in the Backward Class Welfare Department.

The state government said the show cause notice has been issued to the officer in connection with his tweet.

"The adverse coverage this tweet has got in the media has been taken note of seriously by the government, given the serious nature of COVID-19 and the sensitivities involved," the notice, which was accessed by PTI, stated.

The government has sought a written explanation from the officer within five days for violating the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968.

It warned of action against Mohsin as per the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969 if he fails to submit his reply before the deadline.

"The Karnataka government has made it clear that it would not hesitate to act even against powerful functionaries if their actions are damaging to the harmony in the state at a time when all are united in fighting COVID-19," a senior state bureaucrat said.

The Tablighi Jamaat, an Islamic missionary group, shot into the limelight early this year after thousands of its members who attended a congregation in south Delhi's Nizamuddin in March tested positive for coronavirus.

After attending the event, the group's members travelled to various parts of the country, with many of them carrying the virus.

Bengaluru, Apr 21: Alarmed by reports that 53 media persons have contracted coronavirus in Maharashtra, a Minister on Tuesday urged Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to screen all the journalists in Karnataka.

During the regular Covid-19 related briefing on Monday, a reporter had raised the issue of 53 journalists in the neighbouring state testing positive for the disease, with Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar.

In Maharashtra, out of the 171 scribes examined medically, 53 were found to have the viral infection.

In his letter to the CM, Kumar said a similar test should be carried on the journalists in Karnataka.

"The journalists wanted a similar kind of screening to be carried out on them. Therefore, please direct the health and the information department immediately to conduct the screening of journalists who are in contact with public," Kumar said.
