BJP hits out at HDK govt, says Karnataka is in utter chaos

May 10: The BJP on Thursday alleged that the incumbent coalition government in Karnataka has turned a deaf ear towards the woes of farmers.

BJP leader S Dattari alleged that while Congress leader Siddaramaiah is only concerned about the chief ministerial post, the state chief is busy visiting temples to pray for his son's victory in the Lok Sabha Polls.

Dattari told news agency, "There is utter chaos in Karnataka.There is no governance as Siddaramaiah wants to become the chief minister of the state. Two Congress leaders have also supported him in this. On the other hand, chief minister HD Kumaraswamy is on a temple run praying for his son's electoral victory"

"Nobody is concerned about the farmers and the people of the state," he added.

Dattari further urged the governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Vala to intervene and take stock of the situation.

"I urge the Governor of Karnataka to interfere and direct the government to take immediate action on drought conditions in the state," he said.

Bengaluru, Mar 4: A total of five people suspected of being infected with Coronavirus have been admitted to the isolation wards of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bengaluru.

Samples of these patients have been collected and their reports are likely to be received later today.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has assured people in state about preparedness to tackle Coronavirus.

Earlier in the day, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had said that there were 28 cases of Coronavirus in the country and added that universal screening of all international flights will begin to control the spread of the deadly virus.

Global deaths due to Coronavirus outbreak have risen above 3,000.

Bengaluru, Mar 23: Film producer, philanthropist and entrepreneur V K Mohan committed suicide by hanging himself in a hotel in the city on Monday, police said.

Mohan, who hailed from Kundapur Taluk, Udupi District, was a famous film producer and hotelier.

According to police, Mohan arrived at the hotel on Sunday night and when he did not open the door of his room on Monday, hotel staffs, grew suspicious and peeped through the room window, found him hanging.

Shivamogga, Mar 8: In a tragic incident, three people died on the spot and one person severely injured after a car, in which they were travelling dashed against a wayside tree in Kaspadi village in Sagar Taluk on Sunday.

Police said that the deceased have been identified as Siddappa (40), Venkatesha (50), G Tippanna (60), while injured Nagaraj, was admitted to Hospital at Sagar.

The mishap took place when the victims were their way to visit Kargal Village from Raichur.
