BJP to launch 'jail bharo' if Siddaramaiah, Gundu Rao don't apologise

Bengaluru Jan 11: The state BJP will launch a 'jail bharo' agitation on Friday if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundu Rao do not apologise for comparing RSS and BJP to terrorists.

BJP State General Secretary Shobha Karnadlaje told reporters that party workers will hit the streets with the slogan "nanu BJP nanu RSS".

"If the government considers us terrorists then let them arrest us", she challenged.

Karandlaje said Congress was fueling terrorism in Karnataka for its survival by supporting organisations like Popular Front of India (PFI).

The common man of India is struggling for fulfilling his basic needs, he wants peace, he does not need leaders who divide society on caste and religious grounds and create chaos and hatred in the country.

Dakshina Kannada observes lockdown; relaxation from 8am to 11am for essentials

Mangaluru, Jul 16: Streets in Mangaluru wore a deserted look as the city woke up to the first morning of the seven-day lockdown on Thursday.

The lockdown is being observed after the state government announced it as a necessary step to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The week-long total shutdown came into effect in the Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district from 8 pm on July 15 till 5 am on July 22.

The state government allowed relaxation between 8am to 11 am for purchasing of essential commodities. A slight rush was observed during the hours of the relaxation.

Karnataka has so far reported 47,253 positive COVID-19 cases, including 27,859 active cases and 18,466 recoveries.

So far, 928 people have lost their lives due to the infectious virus in the state.

Another neighbour of Bantwal's covid-19 victims test positive for corona; DK's total reaches 18

Mangaluru, Apr 25: The coastal district of Dakshina Kannada today reported another covid-19 case. With this the total number of coronavirus positive case in the district rose to 18 including two deaths.

The health and family welfare department in its bulletin today announced that a 33-year-old woman from Bantwal tested positive for coronavirus. She is undergoing treatment at Wenlock Hospital which is now converted into covid-19 hospital.

She is the daughter of 67-year-old woman from Bantwal who was tested positive for the deadly disease last week. Both are the neighbours of the two women from Bantwal who died of covid-19 recently.

People in this Karnataka city boycott health survey mistaking it for NRC

Chamarajanagar, Jan 3: The residents of Galipura layout in Chamarajanagar city boycotted the annual Community Based Survey (CBS), conducted by the Health and Family Welfare department, mistaking it to be the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Majority of the residents in the layout belong to Muslim community. The people, who mistook CBS to the NRC survey, got into arguments with the Asha workers, who were given the responsibility of collecting information. They even tore the forms into pieces and vent their ire.

The Health Department conducts CBS every year in the urban areas and collects all details including Aadhaar number, residential address, details of family members, health problems and others.

Fifteen Asha workers were deputed for the survey in the layout. A few youths started questioning them alleging it to be an NRC survey and started arguing with them.
Tahsildar Mahesh, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr N C Ravi, with the help of Muslim leaders cleared the confusion. The community leaders assured of explaining it to the residents and extend cooperation to the survey.

Sanghis are planning to approach citizins disguised as health workers and else to get details of residents. such trouble makers should be noted and handed over to police. Police should arrest such fake people and put in jail. such fake people are trying to terrify poors and collect money assuring to help them. So, please be careful.
