Mandya, Sep 1: BJP leaders in Mandya on Wednesday lodged a complaint at the SP's office against actor-turned-politician Ramya for questioning the role of Sangh Parivar in freedom struggle.

A team of BJP workers led by Madchakanahalli Gram Panchayat president Puttaswamy visited the office of the Mandya SP, C.H. Sudheer Kumar Reddy, and submitted the compliant.
According to the complainants, Ramya is provoking the people and the partymen, by issuing irresponsible statements that the BJP and RSS had joined hands with the British during the Freedom struggle.
They also claimed that the recent statement of Ramya that Pakistan is not a hell' was anti-national and hurt the sentiments of the people.
They has urged the police to consider such statements as crime and register a complaint against Ramya for disturbing peace.
They said Ms. Ramya had insulted the BJP, RSS and their affiliates by saying their “role in the struggle for Independence is nil”.
