Bengaluru, Jul 18: The proceedings in the Karnataka Legislative Council was adjourned on Thursday after opposition BJP members continued their dharna in the well of the House demanding resignation of CM Kumaraswamy claiming that the coalition government had fallen into minority following resignation of 15 MLAs of the ruling combine.
After the House assembled to take up the day's business, the BJP members entered the well of the House and raised slogans against the government and demanded immediate resignation by the Chief Minister as he had lost majority of the Legislative Assembly.
They carried placards saying that the minority government had no business to continue in power. Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has no moral right to continue to run the government which was in minority, the agitating BJP members said.
