New Delhi, May 16: After the sixth round of the current elections, it is now almost certain that on May 23, the National Democratic Alliance, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to get an overwhelming majority and the next government will be formed in the country under his leadership, asserts the Confederation of All India Traders.

The estimate, CAIT said, was made after getting feedback from traders who have got further feedback from their respective customers.

CAIT said that the BJP will take around 300 seats, while the constituent parties of NDA will also win between 45 and 50.

This time, traders from across the nation have not only voted for BJP and allies but have also launched a major support campaign for them.

Not only the traders but their employees were also a part of this campaign. During the campaign traders also encouraged their customers to vote for Mr Modi.

There are about 70 million businessmen in the country which employ around 30 million people and this time traders and their employees have voted across the country as a strong vote bank.

Based on this feedback, the BJP will get between 50 to 60 in UP, 22 to 25 in Maharashtra, 15 to 25 in West Bengal, 10 in Assam, 23 in Madhya Pradesh, 22 in Rajasthan, 23 in Gujarat, 4 in Punjab , 8 in Haryana, 7 in Delhi, 15 in Bihar, 6 in North East, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 14 in Odisha, 10 in Jharkhand, 4 in Tamil Nadu, 20 in Karnataka, 3 in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 in Himachal Pradesh, 3 in Kerala 6, 2 in Goa, 3 in Uttarakhand, among others.

CAIT National President BC Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that after talking to traders and other people across the country, it has transpired that people of the country did not appreciate negative campaigning of Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

Beginning with 'Chowkidar Chor Hai', Mr Gandhi and other opposition leaders used abusive words for Mr Modi and attacked him personally instead of talking on issues, they said.

'The sensitive issue like inflation was never raised by the opposition. Apart from personal criticism, no national issue were ever raised by Mr Gandhi or other opposition leaders. with opposition leaders.

'The announcement of giving concessions to the farmers by Mr Gandhi has had adverse effects on other sections. The taxpayer class is angry with Mr Gandhi's announcement. They opined that we should contribute tax and Mr Gandhi intend to give it like freebies which is not acceptable.'

The divided house of opposition and the other hand strong unity in NDA partners also played an important role At the same time under leadership of Mr. Modi, the BJP and allies remained united, according to a statement here on Wednesday.

On April 19, by addressing the traders by Mr. Modi at the National Traders Conference held by CAIT , businessmen across the country got enthusiastic and all traders got mobilised in favour of the BJP, they said.

'Steps like formation of a National Traders Welfare Board, pension to merchants over the age of 60 years, accident insurance of 10 lakh to businessmen registered in GST, national retail trade policy, merchant credit card also influenced the traders to a great extent.

The government's Ayushman Bharat Scheme and the Mudra Scheme created the BJP's footprint among the small classes, while the programs like Start Up India and Skill Development attracted the youth of the country, the trade body said.

Wuhan, Feb 6: Chinese multinational conglomerate holding company Tencent has allegedly published "real" data on the novel coronavirus deaths, with briefly listing death toll as 24,589 -- way too higher than over 500 deaths China has officially announced to date.

According to Taiwan News, "Tencent... seems to have inadvertently released what is potentially the actual number of infections and deaths, which were astronomically higher than official figures".

Tencent, on its webpage titled "Epidemic Situation Tracker," showed confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China as standing at 154,023 - over 10 times the official figure given to the world on February 1.

Data leaked: Tencent lists 25,000 deaths in China, 1.54 lakh infections from coronavirus
It listed the number of suspected cases as 79,808, four times the official figure.

"The number of cured cases was only 269, well below the official number that day of 300. Most ominously, the death toll listed was 24,589, vastly higher than the 300 officially listed that day".

Once people noticed this, Tencent immediately updated the numbers to reflect the government's "official" numbers.

"Netizens noticed that Tencent has on at least three occasions posted extremely high numbers, only to quickly lower them to government-approved statistics," said the report.

Some people speculated a coding problem may be behind the real "internal" data but others believe that someone is actually trying to reveal the real numbers.

Tencent was yet to officially comment on these reports.

"According to multiple sources in Wuhan, many coronavirus patients are unable to receive treatment and die outside of hospitals."

There have been multiple reports of Wuhan officials cremating deceased coronavirus victims before they could be added to the official death toll.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the coronavirus numbers coming out of China are "fishy".

If the numbers from the alleged Tencent leak are accurate, it would put coronavirus' mortality rate at almost 16 per cent. By comparison, SARS' mortality rate was 9.6 per cent, reports CCN.

Caijing, an independent magazine based in Beijing that covers societal, political, and economic issues, has also claimed that the Communist Party of China (CCP) is underreporting the extent of the coronavirus outbreak.

Caijing's article on Coronavirus that detailed how Wuhan officials are not reporting real figures was censored in China.

As of Thursday, the official death toll in China rose to 563, with 28,018 confirmed cases.

Mangaluru, Jul 15: Amidst mounting coronavirus cases, the district administration has finalised 80 covid care centres (CCC) in Dakshina Kannada.

Sindhu B Rupesh, deputy commissioner of DK, said that as many as 80 premises that were functioning as quarantine centres have now been identified as CCCs in the district.

People in the district have been demanding that CCCs should be opened for asymptomatic cases in the district too.

A majority of around 1,500 active cases in Dakshina Kannada are asymptomatic, and the CCCs will help those planning to go to private hospitals to reduce their treatment costs.

Additional deputy commissioner M J Roopa said that the 80 CCCs identified throughout the district will work as care centres for asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.

A medical team will attend to the centres, and supply of food and water will be taken care of by the government. In case of any health issues, the patient will be shifted to the Covid hospital, she said.

“All asymptotic Covid-19 patients, who are unable to opt for home isolation, are being kept in CCCs. A designated health team will monitor each CCC in the district. Meanwhile, the nearest public health centre (PHC) will have an ambulance on standby in case of an emergency,” she added.
