Mumbai, Dec 2: Bollywood's who's who -- including the Bachchans -- the Ambani family and icons of India's cricket pantheon turned up for Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's star-studded wedding reception here at a five star hotel, their third after the wedding in Italy on November 14 and 15.

The celebrations at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in suburban Mumbai carried well into the night. The reception was for their friends and colleagues from Bollywood.

Deepika looked gorgeous in Zuhair Murad's blood-red, thigh-high slit, embellished gown with a long train. Ranveer looked dapper in a black tuxedo, styled by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. The couple walked hand in hand and posed for the shutterbugs.

Those in attendance included Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Kareena Kapoor Khan arrived with Saif, Sara, Soha and Kunal Khemmu. Varun Dhawan came with girlfriend Natasha Dalal, Sanjay Dutt with wife Manyata, and Boney Kapoor with daughters Anshula, Khushi and Jahnvi.

Tiger Shroff attended the reception with Disha Patani. Other couples who were part of the celebrations included Raveena Tandon-Anil Thadani, Madhuri Dixit Nene-Sriram Nene, and Lara Dutta-Mahesh Bhupathi.

Arbaaz Khan came with rumoured girlfriend Giorgia Andriani, while Shabana Azmi graced the reception with husband Javed Akhtar.

Karan Johar posed with Ananya Pandey, while Sonakshi Sinha posed with her parents Poonam and Shatrughan.

The list of attendees included Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Rohit Shetty, Rekha, Hrithik Roshan, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor, Farah Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Rani Mukherji and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Kriti Sanon, Sidharth Malhotra, Ashutosh Gowariker, Zoya Akhtar, Radhika Apte, Hema Malini, R Madhavan, Nimrat Kaur, Sonu Sood, Ritesh Deshmukh, Vicky Kaushal, Abbas Mustan, and Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra also came to wish the newly wed couple.

The Ambani family -- Mukesh and Nita Ambani with their children -- and sports personalities like Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, M S Dhoni, and Hardik Pandya also attended the function.

Shah Rukh Khan had not arrived till 1 am.

The couple had thrown a reception in Bangalore on December 21 and another in Mumbai on December 28 for family and friends.

Deepika and Ranveer dated for six years before they got married at the picturesque Lake Como in Italy. They first got married as per Konkani rituals on November 14 and then again on the 15th in an Anand Karaj ceremony.

Cupid struck them on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela" (2013). The two were later seen together in "Bajirao Mastani" (2015) and "Padmaavat" (2018).

Mumbai, Jan 12: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday came out in support of actor Deepika Padukone, who is facing flak from the BJP and some other quarters over her visit to the JNU campus in Delhi to express solidarity with students who were recently attacked by armed assailants.

Raut, who is a Rajya Sabha member and the executive editor of Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana', said the country cannot be run in a "Talibani" style.

After Padukone's visit to the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Tuesday, many appreciated her "silent solidarity", but some others criticised her for "supporting Leftists", saying it was a promotional stunt for her latest film "Chhapaak".

Some also demanded a boycott of her film, based on the life of an acid attack survivor, played by Padukone.

A section of BJP leaders also criticised the 34-year- old actor over her JNU visit.

Talking to PTI, Raut said, "The demand for boycott of the actress and her film is wrong. The country cannot be run in a 'Talibani' style."

"Chhapaak", directed by Meghna Gulzar, hit the theatres on Friday.

Declaring a movie tax-free means the state has waived the entertainment levy imposed on it, thereby bringing down the ticket rates and encouraging more people to watch it.

The 45-year-old adventurer shared the daredevil video on Twitter featuring Rajinikanth amid the woods and in the background, Grylls is heard saying "He`s faced a lot of fears, but he never gives up. He`s relentlessly positive."

He captioned the post on Twitter and wrote: "Superstar @Rajinikanth`s relentless positivity and never giving up spirit was so visible in the wild as he embraced every challenge thrown at him. Respect! Watch Into The Wild with @BearGryllson March 23 at 8:00 pm. @DiscoveryIN#ThalaivaOnDiscovery."

The video shows the Padma Bhushan actor and Grylls climbing hills and wading through gorges and ravine. The duo is seen driving through the Deccan forest. Amid the video, Grylls is seen addressing Rajinikanth as a "superhero." The actor is seen pulling off his signature `sunglass` move.

Earlier in February, the adventure show host shared an intriguing motion poster marking superstar Rajinikanth`s blockbuster TV debut in Discovery`s `Into the Wild`. Grylls also shared that it was a special experience for him to work with the Rajinikanth.

In January, Rajinikanth suffered minor injuries while shooting for the special episode of `Man vs Wild` Bandipur forest in Karnataka.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajinikanth becomes the second Indian personality to be featured on Grylls` survival show.

The episode with Prime Minister Modi was aired last year in August and became quite an attraction among viewers.

Mar 11: The shooting of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai has been completed, and the film will now release on schedule.

If one recalls, the film went on the floors in the first week of November 2019 and was supposed to be Salman’s fastest completed film. However, the movie faced a variety of roadblocks — It was first to be wrapped in the first week of February, “But Salman went off to his Panvel farmhouse after the release of Dabangg 3 and spent a while there ushering in his birthday,” a source reveals.

“Then, the extension of the show Bigg Boss 13 by five weeks also turned out to be another speed breaker. Then, Salman wanted to make sure that the film was being made as good as what his audiences wanted on Eid. He made sure that his director Prabhudeva got what he wanted from the performers and didn’t want to rush him.

"Additionally, the Azerbaijan schedule of the film also got cancelled as Salman did not want to take any chances with the cast and crew with the lurking Covid 19, and rescheduled the shoot in India. This is now complete, barring any patchwork that might emerge later,” our source adds.

Radhe is slated to be an Eid release, which will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb.
