New Delhi, Apr 5: A-listers have, time and again, found themselves involved in notorious acts, brazen scuffles and criminal cases.

From Salman Khan to Sanjay Dutt to Jeetendra, a number of celebs, over the years, hit the headlines for defying laws.

Let's take a look at these Bollywood celebrities with criminal records.

-Salman Khan

Two separate cases were registered against Salman in 1998 under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act after he allegedly poached three chinkaras - two in Bhawad village, and one in Mathania (Ghoda Farm) during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. Along with him, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Dushyant Singh are also named in the case.

In October 1998, Khan was charged with possessing an unlicensed 0.22 rifle and a 0.32 revolver and using them to poach two black bucks at Jodhpur's Kankani village.

The 'Sultan' star was accused of running his car over a group of people sleeping on a sidewalk outside a bakery in Mumbai's Bandra, in the wee hours September 28, 2002.

-Jeetendra

The veteran actor, in January, was booked by the Shimla Police after his cousin lodged a complaint accusing him of sexual assault.

-Raveena Tandon

Bhubaneswar's Lingaraj Temple authorities, in March 2018, filed a complaint against the actor, accusing her of shooting for an advertisement in the 'no camera zone' inside the temple premises.

-Nawazzudin Siddiqui

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in March 2018, was accused of spying on his estranged wife and acquiring her call detail records (CDR).

-Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt was convicted of illegal weapons possession in a case linked to the 1993 serial blasts that killed 257 people in Mumbai.

-Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan was booked for allegedly 'rioting' and 'damaging' railway property during the promotion of his film 'Raees' at Kota Railway station.

In 2002, he was caught on camera misbehaving with Mumbai Cricket Association officials and manhandling a security personnel at the Wankhede Stadium.

-Sooraj Pancholi

Sooraj Pancholi, the son of Bollywood couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, has been accused of abetting the suicide of actress Jiah Khan.

Govinda was charged with slapping a visitor on the sets of his film 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai.' The 2008-slapping case was closed by the Supreme Court in 2017.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul Bhatt's proximity to 26/11 conspirator David Headley brought him under the scanner of anti-terror agencies.

Chennai, Jan 15: Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday called for neutrality in journalism and urged media outlets to report the truth.

Addressing an event organised by Tamil magazine ''Thuglak' in Chennai, the superstar-turned-politician said that the country needs a journalist like the late Cho S Ramaswamy, who helmed the publication for decades.

"The times, politics and society are going bad. In such a scenario, the media had a huge responsibility towards the people," he said.

Some television channels are biased towards political parties, Rajinikanth said. He added that media, critics and journalists must report the truth impartially.

Comparing true news to milk and fake reportage to water, Rajinikanth said people will not be able to distinguish between the two if they are mixed.

"Only journalists need to tell which portion is milk and which is water...write the truth and don't make a lie seem like truth," he said, amid applause.

Washington, Jul 16: Actor Chris Evans, better known as 'Captain America', made a six-year-old boy's day by sending him a personalised video message lauding his heroic act of saving his younger sister from a dog attack.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the aunt of the young boy (Bridger Walker from Cheyenne) posted on Instagram the story of how the boy saved his sister on July 9 and was horribly injured in the process.

She shared the story on the photo-sharing platform on Sunday and also posted few photos featuring the brother-sister duo as well as pictures of the injuries on Walker's face.

"After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he's finally resting at home," wrote the aunt (Nikki Walker).
"We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks," she added.

Moved by the young boy's story, Evans made a direct video message appreciating the boy for what he did, and how he is no less than a superhero.

He also promised to send the young kid an authentic 'Captain America' shield as a reward for his selfless, heroic act.

Evans' video message to the young boy was shared by the aunt on her Instagram profile.
In the video, Evans is saying, "Pal, you're a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless -- your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother.

Your parents must be so proud of you," Evans said in a video message that the family shared Wednesday. "Keep being the man you are, we need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I've seen, I don't think there's much that can slow you down."

Towards the end, the 39-year-old actor told the boy he was sending the 'Captain America' shield to him, as the world needs more bravehearts like the little boy.
