New Delhi, Feb 27: Amidst ongoing conflict between Indian and Pakistan, a video has emerged purportedly showing an Indian pilot captured by the Pakistan Army, in which he is heart praising those who captured him for treating him well.
"I would like to put this on record and I will not change my statement if I go back to my country also," said the pilot in the video, who identified himself as Wing Commander Abhinandan.
"The officers of the Pakistani Army have looked after me very well," the pilot said, holding a cup of tea. "They are thorough gentlemen, starting from the captain who rescued me from the mob."
"This is what I would expect my army to behave as and I am very impressed by the Pakistani Army," he added.
When asked by an unseen official where he hails from in India, the pilot, after taking a sip of his tea, says: "Am I supposed to tell you this? Major, I am sorry."
He then goes on to reveal that he is from "down south" and is married.
"The tea is fantastic, thank you," he says in response to another question.
He refuses to specify which aircraft he had been playing but then adds in a resigned manner: "I am sure you found the wreckage."
Asked what his mission was, the pilot says: "I am not supposed to tell you this."
