Case against Siddaramaiah shifted to Special Court for Peoples Representatives

Mysuru, May 11: Case against former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah, on alleged illegal construction of house and misuse of government office has been shifted to Special Court for People’s Representative, Bengaluru, Senior Civil Judge CJM Yashavantha Kuamr in his order.

Presently Siddaramaiah, MLA from Badami assembly constituency. A case has been registered against him on illegal land acquisition in Hinkal Panchyat limits in the District.

Survey no 70/4a land belongs one Sakamma and same has been purchased by Siddaramiah and constructed a house without the permission from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority(MUDA). Later in 2003 Siddaramiah sold the house.

Mangaluru, Jun 29: As many as 49 fresh covid-19 cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada district in past 24 hours taking the district’s tally to 568.

At the same time 38 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery from covid 19.

Out of the 49 positive cases, 14 persons had returned from Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar. 17 persons had contracted the disease from patient number 9590. 3 persons are suffering from an influenza-like illness (ILI), and 4 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection.

The health officials are tracing the contacts of six others. All the 49 persons have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Most of them are said to be asymptomatic.

Mangaluru, Apr 6: Agricultural produce vendors have decided to hold an indefinite strike from Monday here in city's Central Market.
 
This move comes in response to district administration’s order asking them to shift to the APMC yard at Baikampady and not heeding to their appeal to allow them to operate from the Market and other areas in the city.
 
The district administration has decided to shift the vendors in order to prevent crowding in the market and maintain social distancing norms.

Bengaluru, Jul 8: 15 police personnel from Bangalore's Whitefield division tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Out of these, 12 are from the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) police station, sources said.

A total of 27 police staff of the Whitefield division have tested positive so far and five have been discharged. The HAL police station closed on June 27 after one police staff tested COVID positive. All personnel of the police station were tested in the following days and 12 tests returned positive.
