CFI’s seminar ‘Saffron in Education and the Students Resistance’ on June 17

Bengaluru, Jun 15: Campus Front of India will be conducting a national level seminar on ‘Saffron in Education and the Students Resistance” on June 17 at 2 p.m. at SCM Hall, SCMI near Mission Road, Bengaluru.

The aim of the seminar is to bring a healthy discussion on swiftly progressing saffronisation of the educational system and the extreme oppression and alienation being faced by students community especially belongs to the marginalised sections at central universities, further more to throw a light on wrong policies and decisions which was taken by the central government/MHRD.

Papers on ‘Saffronisation of Education’, ‘Challenges and Opportunities of Students’ Resistance’, and ‘Scope for Students Unity across Ideological Borders and Social Differences’ will be presented on the occasion.

Writer and Dalit Activist Prof. Kancha Ilaiah, Director, Centre of social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, will inaugurate the seminar. PV Shuhaib will preside over.

Prof. Apoorvavnd Jha from Delhi University (Author, Columnist), Yogesh Master (Writer, Director), Nagaragere Ramesh (Human Rights Activist, Writer and Retd. Prof of national college Bangalore) and EM Abdul Rahiman (Chairman, Empower India foundation) will be resource persons.

Madikeri, Jul 24: Water from river Cauvery, which is deemed as holy, and mud from Kodagu, the birth district of river Cauvery was collected and will be sent to Ayodhya for use during groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pooja) ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir on August 5.

Workers of Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Hindu Jagarana Vedike collected the soil and water from River Cauvery at Talacauvery Kshetra, the birthplace of river Cauvery.

Special pooja was offered at Talacauvery, praying for the timely completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.

The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.

More details in this regard are awaited.

United Marine Products, Karnataka and Goa has been awarded the MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) best exporter award for outstanding export performance of 2017-18 and second best exporter of 2018-19 from the govt of India under the category   "Fishmeal, Fish oil and Allied products." held at Grand Hyatt, LuLu convention center, Kochi.
 
The award was conferred in the presence of Central Minister for state, commerce and Industry Mr Som Parkash and Honourable minister for fisheries, govt of Kerala Mercy kutty Amma. Mr Muhammad Sameer, Managing Partner, received the award.
