In a serious allegation, BJP leader and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje claimed in Lok Sabha that coastal regions of Karnataka and Kerala have become a hotbed of ‘jihadi activities’ and raised the issue of killings of so called Hindutva activists in Karnataka.

Raising the issue during zero hour, Shobha said ‘20 Hindu activists’ of the RSS and BJP had been killed in Karnataka. “Coastal Karnataka and coastal Kerala have become a hotbed of jihadi activities.  International terrorist Yasin Bhatkal and several of his accomplices have been arrested from coastal region of Kerala and Karnataka. Now, the jihadi forces are killing Hindu activists in large numbers," she told the House.

She also had a brief exchange of words with some CPI (M) members. Shobha referred to the arrest of Popular Front of India activists in connection with the murder of RSS worker Rudresh. She also blamed PFI and SDPI for the death of young fisherman Paresh Mesta at Honnavar in Uttara Kannada district.

She also demanded a National Investigation Agency enquiry into the killings of Hindutva workers in Karnataka during Congress rule.

Does people select this waste Shoba only for lying and spitting venum of hate.  Its shame that people elected such a lady who is a agent of sangh parivar and taking care of creating disturbance and riot in coastal karnataka.   Coastal karnataka is not a hub for jihadis as no jihadi is there but hub for sanghi terrorists who are financed by nagpur based terror group and supported by people like kalla bhatta.   She should be deprived of her seat and HC should strip her of this position as she is not representing people but representing sangh parivar goondas.   She is the main person behind riots and property loss in uttar Kannada dist.  HC should order for confiscating her property worth crores of rupees int he form of estates/ bungalows/ shopping arcades etc etc.  and distribute among the poeple who lost their homes + businesses.

Tirupati, Jul 5: The Karnataka government will soon build a massive pilgrim amenities complex and marriage hall at Tirumala, the hill abode of Lord Venkateswara, at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore, a temple official said here on Saturday.

The state would soon submit a blueprint for the construction of the Rs 200 crore mega complexes to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) that governs the hill shrine, the official said.

Consequently, based on the designs, TTD would construct the complexes with the given fund and after completion, they would be handed over to the Karnataka government, he said.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa would lay the foundation stone for the mammoth complexes on the hills some time next month, he said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to take part in the programme, he added.

Dear Sir,

Keep aside all these type of extra expenditure like spending for statues, monuments, pilgrim amnesties etc.

During this period of virus pandamic, please use all these amount for medicines, medical facilities, food and development of the state.  We are facing shortage of medical facilites and the people are dying on the road by not getting a bed in the hospital.  Please use these amounts for the same.  During this Pandemic not even hindu brothers also accept this offer.  Leave all vote politics and concentrate to develop the state.

Newsroom, Apr 22: Dozens of Tablighi Jamaat members from across the country who have been successfully recovered and have now tested negative for the novel coronavirus have come forward and donate their plasma for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

The Tablighis from Tamil Nadu were the first to take this decision. According to them, apart from helping the critically ill patients to recover from COVID-19, was to counter the ‘baseless accusations’ that Tablighis were responsible for the spread of the virus following the religious congregation of the sect held at Delhi’s Nizamuddin area last month.

Mohammad Abbas, a thirty-eight year old businessman from Tiruppur was on Sunday discharged from Coimbatore’s ESI hospital. “As soon as I got discharged, I met the district administration officials and the dean of the hospital and told them that they may contact me anytime if they needed me to donate my plasma,” Abbas was quoted as saying by an English daily.

“It has only been one day since I was discharged but I’ve already spoken to others (from the Jamaat) who have recovered and they were all ready to donate,” he added.

Leader's call

Maulana Saad Kandhalvi, a prominent leader of Tablighi Jamaat, who has been booked by the Delhi Police for holding a religious congregation, too has appealed to coronavirus survivors to donate blood plasma for infected people.

In a letter issued on Tuesday, Saad said most of the members who were quarantined did not have any infection and they tested negative for COVID-19.

"Even from amongst the ones who tested positive for the disease, a majority of them have now undergone treatment and are now cured while I and a few others are still under quarantine.

"It is required that such people who are now cured of this disease should donate blood plasma to others who are still fighting the disease and are under treatment," he said.

He also has urged the followers of the organisation to pray at home in the month of Ramadan instead of going to mosques.

Plasma therapy

Convalescent Plasma Therapy is an experimental procedure for COVID-19 patients.

In this therapy, the antibodies of a person who has recovered from the virus are taken and transfused into a sick person (having the virus) to help boost the person’s immune system.

The recovered COVID-19 patient’s blood develops antibodies to battle against COVID-19.

Once the blood of the first patient is infused to the second patient, those antibodies will start fighting against the coronavirus in the second person.

The process for donating plasma is similar to donating blood and takes about an hour.

Several countries around the world including the United Kingdom and the United States have also started plasma therapy trials.

In India, several states like Kerala, Gujarat and Punjab have already started using Plasma Therapy for the corona-infected patients.
