How do you define the word success? Will you consider a person successful only if he tops the ranks, or he makes it on television or something big?
Success is seen at every step, however small it may be.
Ralph Emerson has summed success as,
“To laugh often and much,
To win the respect of intelligent people
And the affection of children,
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
And endure the betrayal of false friends,
To appreciate beauty,
To find the best in others
To leave the world a bit better –
Whether by a healthy child,
A garden path or a redeemed social condition,
To know that even one life
Has breathed easier because
You have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
If you want to hammer your way into the hall of fame then you will very well agree with me that one has to do something different, something painful at the point of enduring torture and something special.
Everybody wants to succeed in life, make it big, fulfill those dreams that seem larger than life… but how many are willing to slog it out, or really make the big bucks.
Today’s world is an era of oceanic competition and the talent pool of freshers entering the market every year is enormous and still counting. You have to dominate lest you be submerged by it. Success with tactical combination has its own parameters. One thing is absolutely certain victory will never be found by taking the line of least resistance. Reaching the topmost citadel is by no ways, not even by the remotest thinking from the most sidelined part of your brain; a matter of genius or luck. Only sheer grit, accompanied by positive thoughts, followed by desirous dreams can in a way guard and guide you to your destination you rightfully deserve. Take instances of Abraham Lincoln, naval godrej, Ambani, Gandhi, Churchill so on and so forth. These were men of class and caliber. Lucky ones you might think… well not really. They were losers at one stage of their life. But as they kept persevering and working, they succeeded in their quest. Their names are today scripted into immortality.
