Mr. Haneef Khan Kodaje expressed his sincere gratitude to the Executive Members and well-wishers of Indian Cultural Society, Abu Dhabi Sector for hosting a reception to him.

Delivering the key note address he spoke about the party’s recent campaign against the communal terrorism and urged to all to Stand on your feet not on your knee, he said SDPI is not formed for political thrust or self-intended interests. Rather, it formed for the empowerment of all marginalized sections of the society by mobilizing themselves into a political force, instead of remaining as mere vote banks of different political parties in elections. He gave brief presentation about Why SDPI and recent achievements of party.

He said, under the leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, India has introduced a very good constitution, if this constitution laws implemented as it is India will become Super power in world, but unfortunately the ruling governments are trying to destroy the Democratic institutions and the gap between haves and haves not are widening. The major parties, one is indulging in communalization and another one is covered with corruption, until Delhi and Bihar Elections there was no alternative political choice this shows how the people rejected two major parties, it is lesson for us to unite ourselves to achieve our dreams.

He gave various examples of injustice faced by minorities, backward communities, especially Muslims by political parties. He said that the people in India have lost trust on major parties. The entire election process has been corrupted due to communalization and family politics. In such a grim scenario the SDPI has emerged as a strong political alternative, claimed Mr. Haneef Khan Kodaje.

He alleged that all the parties used Muslims as vote bank and since Independence cheated us with false promises and assurances. E.g. non implementations of Justice Sachar Committee report, Ranganath Mishra report, Shri Krishna Commission, Justice Liberhan Commission etc. He said our secularism and socialism is in threat due to grave silence of administration.

He said that SDPI is the party of marginalized sections of India which include minorities, Dalits and other backwards. It is setting its foot out for a struggle to recapture the country’s stolen fruits of freedom, sovereignty and development. The party has put forth the slogan of ‘Freedom from Hunger, Freedom from Fear’.

Guest, Naser Nandawara, President of Indian Cultural Society, Karnataka Chapter, UAE, in his address explained the services rendered by Indian Cultural Society in the Emirates among expatriate community. He said that Indian Cultural Society is a Socio political platform of expatriate Indians dedicated for the welfare of the Indian expats. The sole intention of this Forum is to unite the expatriate Indian community cutting across cast, creed and religion and to politically educate them.

Mr. Majeed Aladka, President of Indian Cultural Society, Abu Dhabi Sector, presided over the function and in his presidential address he said, the communal parties are gaining power through polarizing the voters communally. The fascist forces are disrupting the secular fabric of the nation by spreading hate among the religion. The government is least bothered to curb the communal encounters of the fanatic fascist groups, he said.

He said that an alternative political solution is needed to tackle the situation and to bring the development to all strata of people as the people in India have lost trust on major parties.

A large number of audience and well-wishers attended and accepted the SDPI membership during the event and a question and answer session was conducted.

Mr. Mohammad Sharif, well-known businessman, Mr. Abdullha Madumale, Gen. Secretary, BWF, Abu Dhabi, were other chief guests of the event and Mr. Hashir Chukkabettu, Mr. Arif Madikeri, Mr. Rasheed Nala, Secretaries, Indian Cultural Society, UAE and Mr. Mubarak Parangipete, Abdul Razak, Adyanatka, Executive Members of Indian Cultural Society, Karnataka chapter, UAE, Mr. Shareef Sarve, Udupi Dist. and Mr. Sakib Kundapura, D.K.
