CM Ibrahim calls Pejawar seer a ‘god’; hilarious speech goes viral

cmibrahim Udupi, Jan 24: A hilarious speech delivered by Congress leader CM Ibrahim during the recent biennial Paryaya festival in which the 85-year-old Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swami ascended the Paryaya Peetha in Udupi has gone viral on social media, prompting the former’s fans and political rivals to engage in a debate.

In his 10 minute Kannada speech, Mr Ibrahim, the deputy chairman of Karnataka State Planning Board, not only called himself a devotee of Pejawar seer but also called the latter a god.

“There are two walking gods in Karnataka: one is Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt and the other is Pejawar Swamiji,” declared Mr Ibrahim, who is known as a “demagogue” among Indian politicians.

The former civil aviation minister said that getting an opportunity to deliver a speech in the presence of Pejawar seer during the historic Paryaya festivities in Udupi is more fortunate moment of his life than that of becoming a union minister.

The speech enriched with Sanskrit ‘shlokas’, hyperbolic dialogues and proverbs, earned a thunderous applause. After the audio clipping of the speech began to spread on WhatsApp and Facebook, it attracted equally interesting response from the social media enthusiasts.

All those who commented here failed to realize the greatest \Hikmah\" hidden behind CM Ibrahim's statement. He is just following the model of our greatest prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s), who had stated that moon is god and son is god. His intention was to convince the Mushrik that they are not gods.
Similarly when those two walking gods leave this world, our CM ibrahim will go to Udupi and say: \"See all are dead. the one who is alive and will be alive forever is the only true god\"...

He said that GOD, Please do Understand he did not call him \ALLAH\", When COW can become GOD Mother, why can't be Mr. Seer be a God, after all their are 33 crores of GODS.

Is he a real Muslim or Name sake Muslim.I really Wonder,Even Hindus do not believe pejavar sree as GOD.Nor pejavara Sree Quoted himself as a GOD.In one of his interview i heared C.M Ibrahim introduced H.D Devegavda as MANEDEVAARU.I really dont understand Why he is giving GOD'S Status to the Human being.
I know Muslims do not entertain or believe in such policies...

I do remember this CM Ibrahim's 20 year old speech in Bengaluru. He was addressing a muslim gathering. Here are the excerpts:

First of all he does not know the main message of Islam which is oneness of God. (even if he knows it, still does not know the seriousness of God).
Ulema the scholars say 1 third of Quran(almost 200pages OR 10Parts of Quran) is only about oneness of God.

This is the key of Islam. Unless a person knows it(Oneness of God), he can not go forward to learn Islam.
Islam is based on this oneness. So, Islam does not allow for associating anything with the God. Even the Gods special qualities can also be not seen in others.
Even a negligible minute portion can not be equated to that one and only God, who controls the entire universe.
Even we can not say our mother, father also to the level of God.
It is the duty of every Muslim not to make such mistakes of equating anything with the God. This is called as Shirk associating someone with the God.
May Allah forgive our mistakes, help us to learn the fact and share with others.

What about Devegowda ? he made him party president, union minister. May Allah guide him to right path.

Why only two gods? Include Kalladka Bhat and make it three gods! Perfect Trinity

He is already Durga Poojary, it is no surprise that he says whoever God. Thee are some more big so called leaders smilar to Mr. Ibrahim's category who prays and also becoming President of Uroos etc. Even one of our Vice Chancellor also in his grade.
All these people are giving wrong signal to others about our religious.
It is welcome to go and speak at Swamys's presence but not in this level.

When U depend on Gori rituals it will take you to this height.. Graves are not for asking prayers. it is to reminds us muslims to recognise the blessing of ALLAH and our fate to end up in the graves. When we make the Graves our protector. The end result will take YOU to such steps which doesnt recognise the TRUE creator even after praying and making zikr hundreds of times...
If U ask, Ask ALLAH alone and trust him. Never depend on something which prophet muhammd pbuh never taught us. ALLAH is our protector - No need any intermedite to reach our creator. AL -hamdullillah.

Mangaluru: Distribution drive conducted by St Agnes College helps 500 families

Mangalore, May 2: More than 500 families received ration kits in a distribution drive conducted by St Agnes College in outskirts of Mangaluru on Wednesday.

Since the lockdown was announced, the management, staff and alumni of St Agnes College are playing an active role in ensuring no one is deprived of food and essentials during these challenging pandemic times.

The College as part of its Agnes towards Community (ATC) programme had adopted villages such as Munnur, Harekala, Amlamogaru, Someshwara and Pavur. Various development drives are conducted in these villages by the staff and students. However, due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the activities undertaken in these villages were kept on hold.

The College recently received information from its network that several families in these villages are struggling for food and essentials.

The College management in association with its alumni and well-wishers took-up the initiative to distribute ration kits consisting of rice, dal, spices, tea powder, hygiene products and other essentials to 500 needy families belonging to these villages.

The drive was held in presence of Zilla Panchayat member Dhanalakshmi Gatty and other Gram Panchayat members.

"We were able to provide food to 600 and more families in different villages and to the stranded migrant workers in the city during this time of crisis because of the generous contributions of our staff, alumni and well wishes" says Sr Dr. M. Jeswina A.C.

The College management expresses its gratitude to all donors, especially the staff, alumni and those associated with the college.

Life limping back to a ‘new normal’ in most parts of Karnataka

Bengaluru, May 5: Life is limping back to a new normalcy in most parts of Karnataka with easing of Covid-19 induced restrictions yesterday as the State headed into the third phase of lockdown started since March 24.

According to the guidelines issued by the Centre, industrial activities, construction works, essential, non-essential shops, delivery of essential goods through e- commerce, courier and postal services, banking and agriculture activities, plying of four-wheelers and two-wheelers and inter-state movement of goods vehicles is permitted in all the zones, whereas buses are allowed to ply only in green and orange zone districts.

This apart, sale of liquor was also allowed at the designated shops. Police said vehicular movement is allowed only from 7am to 7pm for ordinary citizens.

Clarifying about the movement of people, Bengaluru police commissioner Bhaskar Rao tweeted, "From Monday you don't need a pass to move in Bengaluru between 7am and 7pm. After 7 pm and up to 7am the following morning, even if you have a pass you are not allowed to move except medical and essential service. Checkpoints will remain and your ID may be asked. Please be responsible." After the restrictions were lifted, heavy vehicular movement was witnessed in parts of Bengaluru leading to traffic jam in some areas.

Chikpet, which is the main trade area in Bengaluru, saw some activities.

With restrictions on public transport continuing, this unusually crowded place had very less footfall. "Movement of public is limited due to ban on public transport, such as city buses and Metro Rail.

"The trade activities are taking place between retailers," trade activist and joint secretary of Jain International Trade Organisation Sajjanraj Mehta said .

Select liquor shops in the city and other parts of the state pulled up shutters after being closed for about six weeks due to the lockdown with tipplers thronging them in huge numbers at many places.

Some traders in the city complained that they received notices regarding the Tax Deduction at Source for the month of April "thought here were no trading activities."

Meanwhile, Chief minister B S Yediyurappa announced on Monday that free bus service for migrant labourers, which is operating smoothly, has been extended till Thursday.

‘BJP MLAs hold meeting to discuss BSY's leadership capabilities’

Bengaluru, Feb 19: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is facing major dissent within the party and the BJP MLAs held a meeting on Tuesday night at former Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar's residence to discuss the functioning of Yediyurappa-led government, said BJP sources.

According to BJP sources, some of the unhappy BJP leaders and MLAs met last night at Shetter's place and expressed that they are not satisfied with Yediyurappa's leadership.

Last night's meeting shows that party leaders are looking to bring down Yediyurappa from the Chief Minister's post by sending a clear message to the high command that Yediyurappa is incapable of continuing as the CM, said BJP sources.

Other sources in BJP have also asserted that BJP leadership in Karnataka is looking for a "leader" who can lead the party in upcoming elections which is going to be held after three years. At this point of time, it's crucial for BJP to promote second-line leadership.

Meanwhile, a letter is being circulated in the BJP party forum and over social media against Chief Minister Yediyurappa's leadership.

It looks like the same team which is unhappy with Yediyurappa's leadership is trying to convey the same message to their high command. The letter which is being circulated says to be written by one of these leaders' groups against Yediyurappa and his son Vijayendra.

On this, Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy told media, "Maybe the letter is written by the same MLAs because after the expansion of Karnataka cabinet so many leaders from BJP were kept out."

"There is a lot of discontent among BJP MLAs that the ones who have toiled for the party day and night have been neglected from the cabinet expansion. This will definitely result in destabilisation in the government," said Eshwar Khandre, KPCC Working President.

Now party high command needs to look into Karnataka leadership to manage the government in the state.

"Now BJP leadership in Karnataka and Delhi need to look into the matter and need to solve the issue after cabinet expansion," said a BJP leader.
