CM Ibrahim calls Pejawar seer a ‘god’; hilarious speech goes viral

cmibrahim Udupi, Jan 24: A hilarious speech delivered by Congress leader CM Ibrahim during the recent biennial Paryaya festival in which the 85-year-old Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swami ascended the Paryaya Peetha in Udupi has gone viral on social media, prompting the former’s fans and political rivals to engage in a debate.

In his 10 minute Kannada speech, Mr Ibrahim, the deputy chairman of Karnataka State Planning Board, not only called himself a devotee of Pejawar seer but also called the latter a god.

“There are two walking gods in Karnataka: one is Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt and the other is Pejawar Swamiji,” declared Mr Ibrahim, who is known as a “demagogue” among Indian politicians.

The former civil aviation minister said that getting an opportunity to deliver a speech in the presence of Pejawar seer during the historic Paryaya festivities in Udupi is more fortunate moment of his life than that of becoming a union minister.

The speech enriched with Sanskrit ‘shlokas’, hyperbolic dialogues and proverbs, earned a thunderous applause. After the audio clipping of the speech began to spread on WhatsApp and Facebook, it attracted equally interesting response from the social media enthusiasts.

All those who commented here failed to realize the greatest \Hikmah\" hidden behind CM Ibrahim's statement. He is just following the model of our greatest prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s), who had stated that moon is god and son is god. His intention was to convince the Mushrik that they are not gods.
Similarly when those two walking gods leave this world, our CM ibrahim will go to Udupi and say: \"See all are dead. the one who is alive and will be alive forever is the only true god\"...

Is he a real Muslim or Name sake Muslim.I really Wonder,Even Hindus do not believe pejavar sree as GOD.Nor pejavara Sree Quoted himself as a GOD.In one of his interview i heared C.M Ibrahim introduced H.D Devegavda as MANEDEVAARU.I really dont understand Why he is giving GOD'S Status to the Human being.
I know Muslims do not entertain or believe in such policies...

I do remember this CM Ibrahim's 20 year old speech in Bengaluru. He was addressing a muslim gathering. Here are the excerpts:

First of all he does not know the main message of Islam which is oneness of God. (even if he knows it, still does not know the seriousness of God).
Ulema the scholars say 1 third of Quran(almost 200pages OR 10Parts of Quran) is only about oneness of God.

This is the key of Islam. Unless a person knows it(Oneness of God), he can not go forward to learn Islam.
Islam is based on this oneness. So, Islam does not allow for associating anything with the God. Even the Gods special qualities can also be not seen in others.
Even a negligible minute portion can not be equated to that one and only God, who controls the entire universe.
Even we can not say our mother, father also to the level of God.
It is the duty of every Muslim not to make such mistakes of equating anything with the God. This is called as Shirk associating someone with the God.
May Allah forgive our mistakes, help us to learn the fact and share with others.

What about Devegowda ? he made him party president, union minister. May Allah guide him to right path.

Why only two gods? Include Kalladka Bhat and make it three gods! Perfect Trinity

He is already Durga Poojary, it is no surprise that he says whoever God. Thee are some more big so called leaders smilar to Mr. Ibrahim's category who prays and also becoming President of Uroos etc. Even one of our Vice Chancellor also in his grade.
All these people are giving wrong signal to others about our religious.
It is welcome to go and speak at Swamys's presence but not in this level.

When U depend on Gori rituals it will take you to this height.. Graves are not for asking prayers. it is to reminds us muslims to recognise the blessing of ALLAH and our fate to end up in the graves. When we make the Graves our protector. The end result will take YOU to such steps which doesnt recognise the TRUE creator even after praying and making zikr hundreds of times...
If U ask, Ask ALLAH alone and trust him. Never depend on something which prophet muhammd pbuh never taught us. ALLAH is our protector - No need any intermedite to reach our creator. AL -hamdullillah.

Govt increasing labs for COVID-19 tests in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Mar 19: Medical Education Minister Dr Sudhakar on Wednesday said that the government is increasing the number of labs for COVID-19.

"For the last two months, screening has been done at airports. Quarantine is also being done. The situation was reviewed by the state cabinet. All passengers from abroad will be home quarantined or they can stay at government facilities or budget hotels or resorts or private hospitals," Sudhakar said in the Assembly.

"We have issued many advisories. Until 31st March, pubs, and hotels, religious events, should not have an assembly of more than 100 persons. Two bulletins will be issued twice a day. All those who arrive from abroad will be stamped that they have arrived from abroad. Covid-19 is growing at a phenomenal pace. We need not panic but we need to be cautious," he said.

Sudhakar continued: "There are 54 labs in the country. Karnataka has five labs, the most among all states. We are increasing the number of labs. In our country, we have tested less than 10 per cent. In Karnataka, we should conduct test on more people."

The minister said the government will devise a way to be able to track down all those home quarantined through their mobile phones.

"Karnataka stands fourth after Maharashtra, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh. We are in the second stage. The next 2-3 weeks are detrimental. This is a pandemic situation. People have to also take responsibility. Social distancing is the real solution and key to eradicating this COVID-19. In the larger interest of the health of the state, we have to take drastic measures," he said.

"We are now in the 2nd stage. The next 3 weeks are very important. If we take care, the state can escape what's happening worldwide," he said.

Congress MLA UT Khader demanded action against those people who do not follow rules.

"Only shutting airports will not help. What about domestic passengers? Coronavirus must come under Ayushman Bharat. Keep isolated patients away from normal people in the ICU in government hospitals. Take action against those who do not follow the rules," he said.

Congress MLA Dr Yathindras said that screening is not enough and travelers need to be lab tested.

A total of 151 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported in India so far, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Wednesday.

Thirteen positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Karnataka till today.

Total positive COVID-19 cases in Karnataka stand at 181

Bengaluru, Apr 8: Till date 181 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in Karnataka including five deaths and 28 discharges, said State Government on Wednesday.

Six new positive cases have been reported from April 7, 5:00 PM to April 8, 12:00 noon, informed Karnataka Government in a bulletin.

Out of the six fresh cases one has been reported from Uttarakannada, two from Kalburgi, one from Mandya, one from Chikkaballapur and one from BBMP Bengaluru.

"In view of breaking the chain and containment of COVID-19, Karnataka State Board of Auqaf, Bengaluru has directed to all the managements not to allow any congregational prayers in the Masajid and the managements of the Qabrasthans (Muslim graveyards) / Darghas throughout the state and to suspend the visit of public on the occasion of SHAB-EBARAT on thursday, April 9," said State Government in its bulletin.

No public shall be allowed to perform religious rituals in the Qabrasthans/Darghas and all the gates of Qabrasthans/Darghas shall be kept closed.

All managements of Qabrasthans/Darghas shall take necessary action on the above directions and all Waqf officers, District Waqf Advisory Committee in state shall adhere to the orders and directed to circulate the same and to ensure the order is followed scrupulously, the State Government added.

India's tally of positive COVID-19 cases stands at 5,194, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday.

Out of the 5194 cases, 4,643 are reported to be active while 401 people have recovered or have been discharged and one has migrated. The death toll stands at 149.

Ministers should visit covid hospitals, instil confidence among patients: D K Shivakumar

Bengaluru, Jul 15: Karnataka Congress Chief D K Shivakumar on Wednesday urged the Ministers in the state to visit Covid-19 designated hospitals and instil confidence among patients, doctors and medical staff there.

Noting that doctors, nurses and others were doing a great job, Shivakumar said the government has to stand with them and instil confidence in them. Speaking to reporters after visiting Victoria hospital, a major dedicated Covid hospital in the city, he said, "All the Ministers have to go to hospitals and instil confidence in the staff, patients.... they have to remove fear and tell them we will have to live with this (virus), and cannot escape from it."

Shivakumar said he believes that by instilling confidence most part of the diseases can be cured. He lauded doctors, paramedical and other staff working at the Hospital for the sake of patients, putting their own life at risk and appreciated facilities provided there.

During the visit, the state Congress President interacted with patients undergoing treatment for Covid-19, also medical staff and doctors. He said at Victoria hospital patients were allowed to use mobile phones, so that they can speak to family members, which has to an extent instilled confidence among them, and the same has to be replicated across the state.

Not wishing to comment on complaints about the quality of facility and PPE kits provided at the hospital, also alleged misappropriation on part of the government in the purchase of equipment for Covid treatment, Shivakumar said, "....let's see that at Vidhana Soudha (seat of state's legislature)." He said, "this is not the time to talk about corruption and other things, this is not the time for it....instilling confidence among patients, doctors and paramedical staff is important now."
