VHP, Bajrang Dal oppose Kiss of Love campaign in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jan 30: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have urged the Karnataka police to not to permit Kiss of Love campaign in BJP stronghold Shivamogga on February 14.kol

A youths' organisation is planning the campaign on the occasion of Valentine's Day in the heart of Shivamogga city contending that they have every right to express love. The organisation has sought protection from the police and the district administration for the event. However, the district authorities have not yet responded to the organisation's plea.

Meanwhile, VHP Shivamogga district president Ramesh Babu Jadhav and Bajrang Dal Shivamogga convener Malatesh submitted separate memorandums to the district authorities opposing the campaign on the grounds that it would lead to a law and order problem in the city.

couple of years ago there was a protest in bangalore opposing the casting of veena malik in dirty picture kannada version. The reasin of protest was not to cast a pakistani actress and replace with india actress but the movie name is dirty picture hahahahah, cant stop laughing

We are with you. But do it properly

This is definitely a double standard of whoever opposing here.
Because,
First go and stop all type of romantic scenery in your own Kannada film.
Also stop films from any language in Karnataka.
You allow everyone to go to film theatres and watch is happily, with your family, daughters, sons.
For you this is OK to enjoy on the big scree meanwhile when they do it really, you oppose them.

We shall appreciate you if you dare to stop all romantic scene in any film. If you start doing it, we the Muslims will support you and ready to join you.

You need brain to think it and strong heart to dare it.

Well Being a Muslim we never entertain such things.And no Muslim men or Women will go for such things nor we support them.That means we will not Manhandle any one for supporting them.
Let police handle the case.We dont have any rights to pin point others because there are many things which are there to correct within our self.Let us correct them first then will see others.

Bengaluru, Aug 2: All the seven Airports in Karnataka have seen poor traffic even after the restoration of domestic flight services post covid-19 lockdown. Interestingly, Mangaluru International Airport, the second biggest in the state, has slipped to third position in number of number of passengers and flights. 

Of all the seven airports in State-- Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Belagavi, Mysuru, Kalaburagi and Vijaynagara (Hosapete)-- it was the Sambra (Belagavi) airport which saw the highest number of passengers and flights after Bengaluru. 

According to Airports Authority of India report released on their website recently, the Sambra airport outperformed the Managluru international airport in June. 

As many 10,224 passengers travelled to or from Belagavi airport in June, whereas Mangaluru airport saw a footfall of only 8,608 passengers including 3,726 international and 4,882 domestic passengers. Belagavi airport handled 391 flights whereas Mangaluru airport handled 190 flights.

Even the Bengaluru international airport saw a decline in the number of passengers and flights in June. Only 3.69 lakh domestic and 10,654 international passengers arrived or departed from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru in June as against 27.59 lakh total passengers in June 2019. 

Between April-June 2020 the Bengaluru airport saw only 4.54 lakh total passengers (domestic and international) as against 84.11 lakh total passenger during the same period last year. The number of flights to and from Bengaluru also saw a huge dip in June with only 731 international (2,582 in June 2019) and 4290 domestic (16,216 in June 2019) flights.

Though the Mysuru domestic airport handled a higher number of flights compared to last June, the number of passengers either arriving or departing saw a decline. Last year June 4,775 passengers travelled in 96 flights, whereas in June 2020 the airport handled 3,158 passengers and 330 flights.

Hubballi airport saw the least number of passengers or flights among the seven airports in Karnataka in June. It saw only 55 passengers either arriving or departing from the city's airport in 14 flights in the month of June. In the same month last year, Hubballi airport, which was third busiest before the pandemic, had facilitated 45,973 passengers and handled 604 flights.

Since April 2020 to June, the Hubballi airport has handled only 18 flights (as against 1,958 during the same period last year) and 122 passengers (1,50,416 between April-June 2019).

Bengaluru, Mar 28: Karnataka has reported 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 between 5 pm yesterday and 8 am today, taking the tally to 74 in the state.

"Ten new COVID-19 cases have been reported between 5 pm yesterday and 8 am today, taking the total number to 74 in Karnataka, which includes three deaths and five cured/discharged persons," said the State Health Department on Saturday.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases in the country has climbed to 873, including 78 cured, discharged and migrated cases and 19 deaths, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday.

Karwar, Jan 4: One student died and twelve others were seriously injured when a school bus in which they were travelling from Anantapur district fell into a gorge near Gerusoppa Soolemarki Cross in Honnavar taluk of Uttar Kannada district last night, police said on Saturday.

The deceased student has been identified as T Basha Fakruddin (14).

Police said on that on Friday students of a government school from Anantapur district were on a trip to Jog, Murdeshwar and other places. There were 44 children, nine teachers and four cooking staff in the bus, police said.
