Under-19 and Under-16 cricketers selected for KSCA Academy coaching

Mangalore, April 6: Karnataka State Cricket Association Mangalore Zone has announced the list of Under-19 and Under-16 players selected for the KSCA Academy coaching camps.

The camps are scheduled to be held simultaneously in Mangalore, Manipal, Madikeri and Gonikoppa from April 9.

In Madikeri and Gonikoppa, more players will be selected before the start of the camp, a KSCA spokesperson said.

Many players could not attend the selection trials due to examinations in these areas.

For details, players may contact Srikanth Rai (ph: 9845202879) or KSCA Mangalore Zone office, stated a press release.

Mangaluru, May 4: District Health Officer Dr Ramachandra Bairi on Monday said that a special team, comprising of six members, has been constituted to find the source of Corona infection in Dakshina Kannada .

The team is expected to file its report by May 6. It is still not clear if Bantwal was the source was the infection or not.

He said 1st phase of investigation in this regard is complete and the samples taken on the 12th day will give a clear picture.

Bengaluru, Feb 10: Former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil Kumaraswamy today got engaged to Revathi, the grand-niece of Congress leader and realtor M Krishnappa.

On February 6, Mr Nikhil shared a picture with Ms Revathi on his official Facebook account.

Mr Nikhil's grandfather and former prime minister of India HD Deve Gowda attended the event along with several other politicians at the Taj West End.

BJP leaders including Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa former chief minister Jagadish Shetter were also present.

Mr Nikhil, 30, is a Kannada film actor who made his debut in the bilingual movie Jaguar in 2016. The actor will soon start shooting for his new movie Production No-1.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he lost to Sumalatha Ambareesh, widow of former Karnataka actor Ambareesh, in the Mandya constituency in Karnataka.

Kalaburgi, Jan 2: At least 10 students sustained injuries when a private bus carrying students of a school on an educational tour rammed into a tree today morning.

The mishap occurred when the students of Ayyappa School located in Chennaveera Nagar were going around the city in a bus during their tour.

The bus crashed into a tree near Venkatagiri Hotel on New Jewargi Road in the city.

A case has been registered at a traffic police station.
