Dubai: Karnataka Cultural Foundation Iftar Meet today

Dubai, Jul 12: Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Dubai is hosting an Iftar meet on third day of Ramadan (Friday July 12) at Markaz Auditorium Abuhail, Dubai.

Stage programme also will commence at 4:30 p.m. Kootambara Abdurrahman Darimi, vice-president of Kerala State SYS will deliver key-note address. Abdul Jaleel Nizami President of KCF Dubai Zone will preside over. Shaikuna P.M Abbas Musliyar Manjanady .President, Karnataka State Sunni Co-Ordination Committee will inaugurate.

K.K Mohiyuddin Kamil Saqafi Councillor Member of KCF Central Committee, P.H. Ismail Saqafi Kondangeri,SSF State Committee Member, will be the chief guests.

A book titled "Qur’an Nithya Vismaya" translated as "Qur'an Ever Wonder" written by Ismail Sa-adi Al Afdhali Machar, Principal of Darul Irshad Educational Center Mani, DK., published by KCF Dubai Zone will be released on the occasion.

Sayyad Mahadi Ahmad Atakkoya Thangal, Haji Sheikh Bava Mangalore, Gen. Secretary of KCF Abudhabi, Ashraf Haji Adyar, , Director KCF Dubai, K.H Ahmad Faizy Kakkinje, K.K Mohiyuddin Madannur, Aboobakker Kottamudi, Mohiyaddin Haji Kakkinje, Hussain Haji Mangalore, Nazeer Kemmara and many Ulema Umara leaders will be present.

All Kannadigas are invited to the ceremony and Iftar meet, stated a release.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dubai: In response to UAE health authorities encourage blood donation campaign Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta - U.A.E, conducted blood donation camps on April 22 at Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and on 23/04/2020 at Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah.

The Abu Dhabi camp was inaugurated by Head of Department of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, On this occasion she gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation, urged the participants to spread greater awareness about the importance of blood donation and congratulated the AKO members for their selfless social service and wished all the best for their future endeavours.

Abdul Rasheed, President of AKO presided over the function and Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta Vice President Mr. Mohammad Nasir appreciated the effort for organizing this camp and gathering youths to be a part of this noble cause as life is precious on this earth. "Each drop of blood counts much, so kindly take it as personal compassion to help unknown who requires blood with no relatives to help him/her.

In Abu Dhabi 41 and in Sharjah 49 donors participated in this event and donated their blood. It was nice to see cheerful smiling donors doing a great community work.
Blood bank staff and AKO Organizing team enthusiastically arranged the campaign which was witnessed by many members and leaders of various community organization of Karnataka.

Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta President briefed the participates about the ongoing social work of AKO in this current COVID-19 pandemic grim situation AKO is working on following fields: AKO Members have stepped up to support needy community during the Covid-19 pandemic have gone out of their way to comfort those struggling to deal with the challenging situation.

While thousands of people continue to #StayHome, many are in quarantine, there are those on visit visa and stuck here, others have lost jobs or face salary cuts. AKO in coordination with UAE Embassy and other social organization have been able to ensure basic necessities are fulfilled with food provisions and medical assistance to needy.

Providing counselling to bachelors and families those are on quarantine and isolation.

The organizers thanked everybody especially, UAE Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah, Management and staff as well as donors for their time and support for the good cause.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.
