Mangaluru, Jan 23: Veekshitha Arasa, an officially certified Zumba instructor is all set to present Zumba fitness on the Beach to the people of Mangalore on January 26, 2020. The Zumba event will be hosted at Panambur Beach on Republic Day (Sunday) from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Entry is free to the public and there are no tickets.

Veekshitha Arasa will be accompanied by some of the immensely talented Zumba Instructors from Bangalore who have been passionately spreading love for Zumba through their classes and events. Some amazing instructors from Mangalore too will be joining the event to make it even more happening.

With the sole aim to promote fitness among Mangaloreans these Zumba Instructors will make you groove to peppy, energetic numbers and make your evening sweat-blasting and fantastic.

The main presenter and host of this event Veekshitha hails basically from Mangalore. Having conducted Zumba training in various fitness centers and corporates across Bangalore and being the presenter in several mega events both in India and International Platforms in Hong Kong, Veekshitha always had a dream to have a full-fledged Zumba fitness event in her own city - Mangalore. Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 10: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday said that it has been 100 days since the first COVID-19 case was reported and shared the updated figures of positive cases, along with the efforts made by the state government to contain the virus.

"100 Days of #COVID19 | Kerala Story It's been 100 days since the first case was reported. 258 active cases, 97 recovered, Total confirmed: 357 Deaths: 2. 12,710 samples tested Special COVID-19 Hospital, 1,251 Community Kitchens, 28,08,650 Individuals Served, 3,676 Destitutes Rehabilitated," Vijayan tweeted.

India's first case was reported in Kerala in January. The patient was a student, who was studying at Wuhan University in China.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday informed that India's total number of COVID-19 positive cases now stands at 6,412. Out of these, 5,709 are active patients and 504 of them have been cured/discharged and migrated.

With 30 new deaths reported in the last 12 hours, the death toll has reached 199.

Bengaluru, Jul 5: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of a youth and a child, who died due to a landslide at Gurupura in Mangaluru.

"The Chief Minister announces Rs 5 lakh each compensation to Safwan (17) and Shehla (10) who died due to landslide at Gurupura, Mangaluru. Houses will also be built for people who lost houses at Bodanthilla, Dakshina Kannada," an official said.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.
The State Disaster Management Authority said that 57 people and 262 animals lost their lives in flood, rainfall and lightning-related incidents in Karnataka between April 1, 2020, and July 5, 2020.
