Muslim family kicked off United Airlines flight for how they looked'

April 2, 2016

New York, Apr 2: A United Airlines pilot asked a Muslim family of five to leave a plane before it took off, citing "safety" issues.

Eaman-Amy Saad Shebley, her husband and three young children were about to take off on a flight bound for Washington at a Chicago airport when the pilot asked them to get off the aircraft.

planeThe family had enquired earlier whether the air stewardess could provide five-point harness safety seats for their children.

Two videos filmed by Shebley show the air stewardess and then the pilot asking the family to leave.

Ms Shebley asked the pilot whether it was a "discriminatory" decision. The pilot replied it was a "flight safety issue" but were not given any details.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations sent a letter to United Airlines on the family's behalf demanding disciplinary action against the staff involved.

"We are tired of Muslim-looking passengers being removed from flights for the flimsiest reasons, under a cryptic claim of 'security'," said CAIR-Chicago executive director Ahmed Rehab said in a statement. "Security means securing passengers, not harassing and humiliating them and booting them off their flight for, of all things, actually asking for security."

Shebley wrote on Facebook: "Shame on you ?#?unitedAirlines? for profiling my family and me for no reason other than how we look and kicking us off the plane for "safety flight issues" on our flight to DC for the kids spring break. My three kids are too young to have experienced this."

Another Muslim woman and a Northwestern University chaplain, Tagera Ahmad, was denied a can of diet coke onboard a United Airlines flight in May as the flight attendant said she "may use it as a weapon".

The airline apologised multiple times to Shebley's family after they got off the plane and were rebooked on another flight.

In a statement to BuzzFeed News, United Airlines said the family was rebooked "on a later flight because of concerns about their child's safety seat, which did not comply with federal safety regulations" and said the airline has "zero tolerance for discrimination".

Guyz take it positively. I mean think of it - we Muslims didn't do anything wrong, they accused us of terrorism, they set up the stage to create fear of Islam and it falls back on its own people - they fear us for nothing..!!

There was another news about the same United Airlines that a Man wanted to do Yoga (?) on flight, and threatened to kill passengers if not allowed.
Dear Muslims, please understand
#YOGA HAS NO TERRORISM ..!
#Not All YOGIs are Terrorists, But All Terrorists are SANGHIS..\

Ouch..that hurts :-P"

# 8 JOHN...

Please Read BIBLE...dear
1 Corinthians 11:5-6
-----------------------------
But every Wife who prays or prophesies with her HEAD UNcovered DISHONORS her HEAD, Since it is the same as if Her HEAD were SHAVEN. For if a Wife will not cover her HEAD, then she should cut HER HAIR SHORT. But since it is DISGRACEFUL for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, LET HER COVER HER HEAD.

We Muslims expect this ... cos the World all over are ignorant of the TRUTH and the GOD that created us and all.
The only thing they believe is what is said in the media...
Dear Mankind ...
ALLAH says in QURAN that he is the LORD of the heavens and the EArth which U are living...
QURAN : READ it, verify it and REsEARCH it...
When U believe the MEDIA why cant U look at what Our CREATOR says in the QURAN...JUST LOOK and try to understand what YOUr and my CREATOR says to US.
Believe only after U read it.. We are not asking you to believe just like what MEDIA does to U guys which forces U to believe what is said in IT.
ALLAH says mankind is the intelligent CREATION of his creation... It will be PROVED when we look WHO is our LORD... it is better to look once to QURAN rather than stay like animals without looking what our CREATOR says.

Bengaluru, Mar 4: Seeking to allay fear among the citizens in the wake of Coronavirus scare, Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramulu on Wednesday made an appeal to the people not to pay heed to rumours spreading on social media.

In a series of tweets, Mr Sriramulu assured people that the government has taken adequate measures to ensure that the disease does not spread further. "Don't lend your ears to rumours about the Coronavirus in the social media. Rely only on the authentic information," he tweeted.

The minister's tweet came as Bengaluru reported the first case, after a techie from the city with a travel history to Dubai and interaction with Hong Kong-based people there, was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

As panic gripped the city, Mr Sriramulu said the apartment where the software engineer was staying has been sanitised. Besides, his 25 colleagues have been identified. One of them has been admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure and his blood sample has been sent for lab test.

"So far 40,207 people have been screened at the International airport. 251 blood tests have been done, of which 238 were found negative, while the rest of the reports are yet to come," Mr Sriramulu tweeted.

The health department said three people have been admitted to the isolation ward at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases (RGICD).

Meanwhile, a parent appealed to people not to panic about the Coronavirus in the techie's apartment, where his son too resides. "My son is from the same apartment. To update everyone, there is absolutely nothing wrong here. It was more of panic on social media that created this," he said in a message.

He said that the man who is in Telengana and testedpositive stayed in this building on February 21. "His roommate was taken to hospital and has tested negative," he said. It is been two weeks since the incident. The virus cansurvive only for 48 hours under optimal conditions, he noted. "Everyone in this building is safe. Please educate yourself. Refrain from spreading panic and misinformation." he added.
