Under-19 and Under-16 cricketers selected for KSCA Academy coaching

Mangalore, April 6: Karnataka State Cricket Association Mangalore Zone has announced the list of Under-19 and Under-16 players selected for the KSCA Academy coaching camps.

The camps are scheduled to be held simultaneously in Mangalore, Manipal, Madikeri and Gonikoppa from April 9.

In Madikeri and Gonikoppa, more players will be selected before the start of the camp, a KSCA spokesperson said.

Many players could not attend the selection trials due to examinations in these areas.

Kalaburagi, Mar 3: Former Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday in a letter requested Karnataka Assembly Speaker Sri Vishveshvaraya Hegade Kageri that the restricted media coverage in Assembly Budget session was not the right thing and it will be danger of for healthy democracy.

The letter written by Mr. Kharge to the Karnataka Assembly speaker which available to the press said that the fourth pillar of democracy 'Media' ban from covering assembly proceedings was not a healthy move and requested to immediately withdraw the government order in this regards, he said.

Mangaluru, Jan 7: A ten-year-old boy who suffered severe injuries after drowning in Kadri temple pond died on Monday,

Police said that the deceased has been identified as Sandesh, resident of Athani taluk.

Sandesh drowned while taking a dip in a pond at Kadri Shree Manjunatha Temple on Sunday evening. He was immediately rushed to the hospital in the city, however, he died on Monday morning after he stopped responding to the treatment.

Mangaluru, May 28: As many as 19 labourers, who were stranded in Lakshadweep island due to lockdown following COVID-19 outbreak, have been brought back to Mangaluru by a boat ' Amindivi' on Thursday.

On their arrival, they were subjected to medical examination and were warmly welcomed by their family members who had come to receive them at the Port.
