Tulu music enters iTunes Regional Indian Chart with 'Rambarooti' song

Mangaluru, May 10: Prajwal Kumar Attavar directorial, 'Rambarooti' has created history by becoming the first Tulu movie to have its song listed in the prestigious iTunes Top 200 Regional Indian chart.

The track "Daye Saipa" sung by Loy Valentine Saldanha, who is also the music director of the movie, is currently at #34 position. Muzik247 Tulu, the official music label of 'Rambarooti', is the only music label of Tulu movies that releases Tulu music on iTunes.

Written and directed by Prajwal Kumar Attavar, 'Rambarooti' stars Vj Vineeth and Chirashri Anchan in the lead roles along with a supporting cast of Shruthi Kotyan, Sandesh Shetty Saanu, Shanil Guru, Shabharish Kabbinale, Harish Shetty, Nagaraj Attavar,Ananth Upadhyaya, Arpith Adyar, Vivek Gowda, Santhosh Shenoy, Trishanth, Vidya and Saumya Poojary.

The movie's cinematography is handled by Prasad Kumar where as editing is done by Kishan Naik and Pratheek Shetty. The soundtrack album released by the official music partner Muzik247 Tulu features six tracks composed by Loy Valentine Saldanha. The background score is set by Sunaad Goutham. Produced by Shrinivas Ujire and Prakash Kabettu under the banner of Opera Dream Movies, 'Rambarooti' was released in theatres on April 1st.

Mangaluru, May 5: A day after lockdown was partially relaxed in Dakshina Kannada, a fresh covid-19 positive case was reported today from Boloor area of Mangaluru.

In its fresh bulletin, health and family welfare department today said that the throat swabs of a 51-year-old man from Boloor tested positive for the coronavirus.

Boloor is already declared as corona containment zone in the district after as this is the fourth coronavirus positive case reported from the area.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada mounted to 25 including 19 residents of the district and six outsiders who have already left the district after getting treatment.

Mangaluru, May 17: A team of staff and students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, have designed and developed a simple and cost-effective touch-less hand sanitiser dispenser kit at Research and Innovation Centre, Nitte.

According to a release here on Sunday, NITTE said that the most effective medicine for Covid-19 is social distancing, frequent use of sanitiser, and washing hands regularly. In work areas, many people sharing common sanitiser might lead to issues.

The developed product dispenses sanitiser upon sensing the presence of the hand. The product has features like automatic hand detection, indication for power, and sanitiser quantity in the system.

Mangaluru, Feb 15: Dense fog formation and poor visibility at the runway forced to delay and diversions of some flights arriving and take off at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Saturday.

Flights take off and landings were suspended from 0700 hours am to 1030 hours.

Many flights to land in the morning were diverted.
