Jubail: JAMWA’s Gammatt-2016 brings NRI families together

Jubail : Jokatte Area Muslim Welfare Association (JAMWA), a Saudi Arabia based Jokatteans group, organized ‘GAMMATT-2016’, an expat family get-together at PetroKemya Beach Camp, Jubail in a unique style recently. The main intention was to promote a charity programme titled ‘Let’s join together for community welfare’ aimed at socio-economic and educational development of the less privileged people in Jokatte and its surrounding areas.

Delivering his presidential speech, JAMWA Saudi Arabia Honorary President Jokatte Zakaria Al Muzain spoke about objectives of the event and how the challenges should be faced for the betterment of the community.

“Our mission is to serve towards education, empowerment, and economic development and for the betterment of the entire downtrodden community of Jokatte surroundings and bring about an educational revolution among the entire community of Jokatte,” he said.

Zakaria Muzain was among the three Jokatte philanthropists, who were facilitated by JAMWA for their tremendous service to the community; the other two were Mr. B.M.Shereif Jokatte of White Stone Jubail and Abdul Basheer Beary Riyadh popularly known as NCMS Basheer.

The guests included Mr. Rafeeq Soorinje, President DKSC Jubail, Abdhul Hameed Bajpe, President of BAMA Dammam, Mr. Waseem Ali Rabbani, and President Indian Social Forum Central Committee Eastern Region all of whom have applauded the efforts of the organization. Mr. Abdul Rahman Cheyyon President JAMWA Dammam-Jubail Unit, Mr.Abdul Kader President JAMWA Riyadh Unit, Mr. Mohammed AlMuzain, Fadil AlMusahhir, Mr.BM Shereif white Stone, Mr.Abdul Basheer NCMS, Mr.Sheikh Expertise, Mr. Aboobakar Raisco, Mr.Habeeb Kalai, Mr. Hathim Kulur, Mr.Faruq Arab Energia, Mr. Asif Deals Solution, Mr.Abid Column were also on the dais.

Mr. A.M.Arif, Vice President, JAMWA Dammam - Jubail, briefed the objectives of the organization. In the beginning Mr. Mohammed Ismail Ahmed Master (Basheer) has recited the quran and addressed the gathering with the Islamic speech. He emphasized the need of community service and developing the attitude of selflessness, inviting the people to adhere to the teaching of Quran and Sunnath keeping the life of Sahaba as a followable pattern and Mr. Sharief Arikere said the vote of thanks. A memento of appreciation has been given to all guest and donors for their outstanding efforts in the field of community service.

GAMMATT-2016, the second event conducted in a unique style by JAMWA team, was one night event of celebration with thousands of Coastal expatriates flourishing vigorously at Petro Kemya beach Camp Jubail. Quiz Contest and Cultural Event were inaugurated thru a coastal community culture by Auctioning Tender Coconut has attracted the audience. Cultural programs were held in which Islamic melodious songs and “DUFF” the traditional Islamic event by Karnataka Cultural Foundation Dammam steeled the concentration of audience and also the splendid cultural show, Social awareness Demonstration by Indian Social Forum Dammam too had invited audience to focus their attention, during the event.

Petro Kemya Beach Camp Compound Hall was jam packed by 10 pm and over 1700 people have gathered and enjoyed the event. Sports & games for youngsters and indoor games were held for children. Volleyball & Tug Of War for Youngsters and Pass the Ball for Children as people were seen enthusiastically participating with the spirit of fun. Ladies had indoor activities in a separate enclosure .Contest, dozz Ball etc. were their main events & games. Jubail Medicare Complex has provided a Health check Up desk throughout the program, many were utilized this opportunity to check their blood sugar, BP etc. Delicious dinner was served along with snacks and tea in the night.

The audio visual presentation in which the spectators were thrilled to see the History of Jokatte and the growth of the educational advancement in Jokatte.

Finally there was a Raffle Draw for a lucky winner, in which audience won amazing gifts and the Fabulous Prize was a Laptop Note Book.

JAMWA volunteers facilitated the smooth conducting of the program with day and night restless service to succeed the event. Mr.Arif A.M & Mohammed Ismail Ahmed Master compered in men’s section and Sakeena N.M compered in women’s section.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

In a humanitarian gesture to help fellow citizens in distress, the first in the series of chartered 
flights arranged by Thumbay Group, UAE and the Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) Trust, 
Mangalore to repatriate stranded Kannadigas in the UAE took off from Ras Al Khaimah 
International Airport in the wee hours of 21st July 2020. The flight was fully occupied, with 186 passengers, all of them desperate to fly back to India for various reasons.

The initiative was conceived and implemented under the leadership of Dr. Thumbay Moideen - Founder President of Thumbay Group & Founder Patron of BCF and Dr. B K Yusuf, the 
President of BCF. The flight was organized on a purely charitable basis, with all necessary 
steps and precautions in place to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. Thumbay Group assigned its fleet of buses to transport the passengers free of charge from their residences in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman to the airport. The organizers also provided free meals and refreshments to the passengers, in addition to PPE kits and face-shields distributed free of 
charges.

The passengers on the first flight included many elderly individuals, people with serious 
illnesses like heart-related health issues and diabetes, pregnant ladies and little children as well as people who had lost their jobs and those with expired visas. Dr. B K Yusuf – BCF President, Dr. Kaup Mohammed - BCF General Secretary, other office bearers of BCF, as well as Thumbay Group’s representatives Mr. Farhad C – Director of the Hospitality Division of 
Thumbay Group and Engr. Farwaz P. C. – COO of the Construction Division were present at 
the airport to see off the first group of passengers.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Thumbay Moideen said, “This joint initiative of Thumbay 
Group and BCF is to support our fellow Kannadigas desperate to fly back home. We are happy that we have been able to reach out to many of them, to help them fly home to their families. We thank the Governments of the UAE and India, and the Indian Consulate, Dubai, for their support in making this happen. In the coming days, many more stranded Kannadigas would be repatriated under this joint initiative.”
Dr. B K Yusuf thanked Dr. Thumbay Moideen and the office-bearers and members of BCF for 
their efforts to make the initiative a success.

“We are proud that this initiative has brought relief to many Kannadigas and their families today. BCF is grateful to Thumbay Group for its support and partnership for all our humanitarian programs for the support of the needy.”

Dr. Kaup Mohammed said that it was a matter of pride that the much-awaited Thumbay-BCF 
repatriation flight had been carried out successfully. “Measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the flight and its passengers throughout the journey,” he said. He also thanked all the social organizations including Bhatkal Jamath, BCCI, BWF, KCF, DKSC, Kodagu Kannadigas, 
Kannadiga Help Line, Dubai Konkans and KSS, for their support. He specially thanked Mr. 
Syed Hassan Razeen, the owner of ARISTOCRAT Travels for his support in the ticketing, 
boarding and related processes. On behalf of Milano Optics Group and Maxcare, free gift 
hampers were distributed to selected passengers.

The passengers were received at Mangalore airport under the leadership of Mr. Mumtaz Ali - patron of BCF and other distinguished personalities of Mangalore including Mr. Moidin Bava - former MLA, Mr U. T. Ifthikhar, Mr. S. M. R Rashid - President of BCCI central committee and many others. The passengers were transferred to the hotels where they had registered for the mandatory quarantine.

The second flight under this joint initiative is scheduled to take-off from Ras Al Khaimah airport to Mangalore on 24th July 2020. A few more similar repatriation flights are to soon follow, in the coming weeks.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.
