Mumbai, Jun 29: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman allegedly killed her six-year-old son as she could not bear his expenses due to rising prices in Mumbai.52965827

The woman, identified as Savitra Durnale, after strangulating her son Devraj, took him to Shatabdi Hospital pretending he was unwell.

However, she was caught when doctors examining the boy found he was already dead and stated his death to be unnatural. During further examination they found ligature marks on parts of his neck and intimated the RCF police.

“After going through the doctor's report we detained the child's mother, who initially gave a false story that her son was unwell for two days. But on sustained interrogation, she confessed that she strangulated him as she was unable to make ends meet," said Umap Shahaji, deputy commissioner of police (zone 6). She has been booked for murder and remanded to police custody.

Savitra, a native of Gulbarga, told police that after the death of her husband four years ago she didn't have a place to stay.

"Hearing her plight, a bar girl employed Savitra as a domestic help and let her stay with her in Chembur. Savitra also worked in two other places and earned Rs 4,000 a month. But, recently Devraj fell ill and she said she was fed up with the expenses on his medicines and couldn't ask for more money from her employer," said Shahaji.

She told police that on Monday while her employer was away, she waited till Devraj fell asleep and strangulated him with her dupatta.

Modi is unfit for PM. If he spends 5 percent of his travelling expenses on poor people. He can save millions of people.

Ache din has become the bad words for Indian. It has become the abuse word because of feku/Jumla prime minister.

Bengaluru, Apr 24: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday held a meeting with state officials to address the situation in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to COVID-19, the prices of the crops have come down. It was instructed to buy those vegetables and keep them in cold storage and then sell. It was also instructed to export fruits, vegetables which cannot be kept for a long time to other states and countries.

Wherever there is a scarcity of drinking water, it was decided to supply water immediately.
Chief Minister Yediyurappa had earlier spoken to Union Minister Sadananda Gowda and took information regarding fertilisers.

As fertilisers' demand is less in the international market, the Union minister for fertilisers said that farmers will be given fertilisers at less than the actual price.

As some of the associations/guilds have violated the lease conditions by not starting the actual work which they have got the land for in Bengaluru, they have been instructed to return the land to the government where the lease conditions have been violated.

As far as the irrigation department is concerned, much water is stored in dams. It was decided to utilise the same for the cultivation of crops and for the purpose of drinking.

As far as the education department is concerned, it was instructed to give online training to students.

With the help of state television channel Doordarshan, it has been decided to teach students about the syllabus and other activities till the reopening of school.

The KSRTC has lost hundreds of crore due to the reduction in bus services due to COVID-19. So, they were instructed to use buses to transport goods to generate revenue.

The government also decided that salary for the doctors, who are working on a contract basis against COVID-19, will be increased significantly.

Why is rest of Karnataka or India not joining for Eid with coastal region and kerala? At the time of Radio and Dorrdarshan only days, all of India used to wait for 8.00 pm news for updates of moon sighting. So why not accept the moon signing witnesses in Kerala or coastal region?

I request all Indians to accept the witnessing of Moon sighting in any area of India and start and end Fasting.
