Kasaragod, Jul 14: A P Aboobacker Musliyar, general secretary of All India Sunni Scholars Association, has praised the King of Saudi Arabia while condemning the recent terror attack in the holy city of Madinah and other parts of the kingdom.

apThese incidents (terror attacks) that occurred near by the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, close to a mosque in Al-Qatif and in a car park in Jeddah are very painful to the whole Muslim world and there is no doubt they are criminal acts, he said.

He also added that such kind of criminal acts and terrorism are alien to Islam. He also said that it's the responsibility of the whole Muslim world to condemn these kinds of heinous crimes.

He commended the ways that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Saudi leadership has taken for saving the Kingdom from the evils of terrorism and infighting while unrest and insecurity prevail in many parts of the world.

He also emphasized the importance of the combined education — religious and secular — in a press meet in Jeddah recently while he was here for Umrah. He said that combined education is a must to meet the challenges of the modern world.

It's the only way to lead the future generation to the right path, he said, adding, that his institution has been following this model of education from the beginning.

Musliyaar should be educated regarding Uroos festival and other shirk. Nobody discuss AP, so he himself coming infront of camera to get the publicity.

He was silent during the allegations on Naik.

RSS is planning to give BJP ticket in Kerala, because he is having the good relation with them and can be very useful to devide muslim votes.

Mangaluru, July 18: The Dakshina Kannada district administration is likely to earmark a common burial ground in the wake of growing resistance from residents of various localities in Mangaluru against burial of Covid-19 victims in their vicinity.

Recently, following protests by residents on Bolar, the body of a Covid-19 victim remained in the ambulance for hours together. The residents refused to allow the victim to be laid to rest at a burial ground attached to a mosque. The victim, who had been a resident of Idya in Surathkal, was subsequently laid to rest after DC’s intervention.

In a bid to avoid such instances in the future, the district administration has identified a burial ground on the outskirts of Mangaluru.

Former minister and incumbent Mangaluru MLA UT Khader said that he had discussed the problem at length with the officials of the Dakshina Kannada district administration, and had suggested they look for a relatively isolated space on the outskirts of Mangaluru city in order to avoid confrontation with the public.

“A parcel of land at Badaga Yekkuru, some 20km from the city has been identified as being suitable for the burial ground, but the district administration is yet to take a final decision,” Khader said.

Mangaluru, Jun 19: Mohammad Haneef Guddemane, a cattle trader, who was thrashed by the miscreants of Bajrang Dal while legally transporting cattle last weekend, today appeared before media and demanded appropriate action against the assailants.

The attack took place on June 14 at Urwa in the city when he was transporting four buffalos along with all necessary documents. The attack was also captured on a CCTV camp.

The victim, who addressed a press conference today, said that it was not the first time he is transporting cattle as into animal and husbandry for years.

“I had bought 10 she-buffaloes on June 13 from Ranennur and obtained certificate from the local government veterinary doctor after which the animals were brought to my village,” said Haneef, who is a resident of Jokatte on the outskirts of the city.

He said that he was transporting four out of the ten she buffaloes he had bought to the slaughterhouse at Mangaluru on June 14 when a gang of around 15 members which intercepted his vehicles near Urwa police station dragged him out of the vehicle, rained abusive words at him, made blasphemous remarks about his religion, and hit him with a helmet besides kicking him.

He said that three of the assailants were armed with sabre, iron rod and wooden sticks.

"They also tied me to the vehicle and assaulted. They also attacked me with their arms but I escaped. Their plan was to kill me. Fortunately, the police reached the spot and the assailants escaped. However, they thoroughly damaged my vehicle and robbed Rs 7,800 I had with me. I got treated at Highland Hospital in the city," he stated.

Expressing shock over the soft corner approach of the police towards the assailants, he said that only six of around 15 attackers were booked by the police.

“All the accused were let off by the police after registering petty cases. Ironically, the police had not recorded my statement. On the day of attack, they had asked me to sign on a paper. It contained the complaint written by themselves. Hence, on June 17 I visited the Urwa police station and recorded my statement,” he said.

He said that even though he has all the documents pertaining to the cattle that he had purchased, the police had registered false cattle theft charge against him.

Former city mayor K Ashraf, Hyder, bother of the victim and Shamsuddin, Jokatte gram panchayat vice president were present at the press meet.
