Muslims should protect cows; Prophet was against beef: Ajmer Dargah chief

July 29, 2016

ajmerJaipur, Jul 29: The spiritual head of Ajmer Dargah Zainul Abedin Ali Khan on Thursday said the Muslim community should present an example by protecting cows which hold religious significance for Hindus.

He also suggested that those who create violence over the issue of beef should avoid doing it and called upon both the communities to live with harmony and unity in the interest of the country.

“Some elements are trying to disturb the harmony between Hindu and Muslim communities on the issue of beef. Cow is the religious symbol for Hindus but the issue of beef has become a new weapon of religion which is having a negative impact on the image of the country,” he said in a statement.

Khan, who is the Deewan of the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, said Prophet Muhammad in his preaching was also against eating beef and there is no evidence in history of any Sufi saint or religious leader eating beef.

Who will believe even if Muslims are protecting cows,
The trend is, if Muslim have a cow for Milking purpose, Bajrangis will attack on the pretext of cow slaughter
If Muslim is having a cow for agriculture purpose, Banjrangis will attack on the pretext of cow slaughter
Cow is not the cause, but, they just need a reason to attack Muslims,
If the Cow problem is solved, then they will come up with Bakri reason, then Murgi reason, then Machli reason, Its never ending story till RSS is alive

Dubai, May 9: A flight scheduled to bring back Kannadigas, especially Mangalureans stranded in Dubai on May 14 has been rescheduled to May 12.

The flight will take off from Dubai at 4.10 pm UAE time and reach Mangaluru International Airport at 9.10 pm IST on May 12, announced Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda in a tweet.

The flight was earlier scheduled for May 12 and then it was postponed to May 14. Now, it has been rescheduled to May 12.

It is said that constant persuasion from NRIs in UAE led to advance the paid evacuation drive.

In fact, Karnataka was missing in the list of states to receive special flights when Ministry of External Affairs arranged them to bring stranded Indians at UAE. Special flights were arranged only to Kerala and Tamil Nadu people stranded at UAE in the first stage.

Thanks to Karnataka NRI Forum of UAE which opened helpline to seek assistance to Kannadigas, nearly 2000 Kannadigas have registered for assistance in which 127 pregnant women, 27 senior citizens, 700 people who have lost jobs aftermath of coronavirus sought assistance from NRI forum.

In the first flight, priority will be given to people with medical emergency and pregnant women. Once the passengers reach Mangaluru, they will be quarantined in their home districts.

Jul 6: At least 8 lakh Indians may be forced to leave Kuwait as the country's legal and legislative committee has approved a draft expat quota Bill, reported.

The Bill, which states that Indians should not exceed 15 percent of the population, was determined as constitutional by the National Assembly, local media reported.

It will soon be transferred to the respective committee so that a comprehensive plan is created.

Expats account for 30 lakh of Kuwait's 43 lakh population. Indian community constitutes the largest expat community in Kuwait, totalling 14.5 lakh.

The move comes as the number of Covid-19 cases has spiked in the country, with 49,000 cases being reported so far.

Kalaburgi, May 27: Karnataka's Kalaburgi district recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, as per information provided by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

In light of the increasing mercury levels, people here were seen consuming sugarcane juice and cold drinks to beat the heat. Animals and birds could also be seen searching for water for relief from the scorching sun.

Locals of the area requested the district administration to take necessary actions such as spraying water on roads, in order to bring down the temperatures.

"We are facing huge heat waves in this district from the past two days, and even the temperature is around 44 to 45 degrees on a daily basis. So, it is a very alarming situation in Kalaburgi. When we move around the city, we are unable to find water and fresh fruit juice, and even if fresh juice is available, we are afraid of getting infected by COVID-19," said one local.

"If we carry cold water, it gets warm within half an hour, and gets unfit for drinking, and it is tough for us. I request the district administration to look into this matter and do the needful such as spraying water on the roads, etc. for slightest relief," he added.
